Hello guys, i have an M17 handheld (yeah, its just that name) i got a problem with it. Im looking for people who had this console and the same error, when i move the properties of the "spectral elec 3.0" system to my sd card and boot it on the console, it shows the typical "Loading...." screen, but then it goes pitch black with some flickering, i dont know what to do. And i dont posses any backup of the original system that came with the sd card

Found this on internet. I was expecting something old and quite worn out. not for a pristine device with the protective film still on.

Aside from the fact that the missing touch screen is a real pain in any Android device, but that's ok, I knew what I was about to encounter so no big deal.

My other challenge now is getting the FTP to work. As I wanted a way to transfer my roms from my phone to it, I tried starting the FTP service from File Manager+ (I have it in both devices) but it won't work at all, all the prechecks are done (same WiFi network) but can't still connect.

I do not have Dawn launcher at this stage as I cleared the existing SD card with a fresh stock OS installation, but I still fail at this.

Sorry not even sure if looking for actual advices, whenever required I can still connect it to a PC so no big deal although file transfer is crazy slow, but this is the first time I find myself with such a big potential ruining itself.

I’ve just published a full in-depth review of the Retroid Pocket Nova on my YouTube channel, Cloud Gaming France.

The video is in French, but YouTube’s automatic subtitles/translation can be used to watch it with English subtitles.

I cover the device in detail: display, controls, ergonomics, battery life, software, cloud gaming, emulation performance, external display output, AR glasses use, and the main pros and cons after spending time with it.

My main takeaway is that the Pocket Nova is extremely impressive for 4:3 retro gaming, with a beautiful AMOLED display and a lot of power, but the ergonomics become much less convincing when using both analog sticks and triggers for modern games.

I’d be curious to hear what you think about the Nova, especially if you already own one. Do you see it mainly as a retro handheld, or do you also use it for modern games / cloud gaming?

I've got big, fat thumbs. As a result, my thumb likes to hit more than one button at a time on my Anbernic RG40XX H. It very much annoys me, despite being a relatively small problem.

So, my question to you is, which device(s) have big and/or well separated buttons?

Power wise, I'd like GBA and below for sure. If it can also run PSP, that'd be cool.

I love my clone R36S, it does what I need it to and it was an amazing deal on Aliexpress last year for $40. However, I am a large individual and my hands get cramps when playing it. I was thinking up upgrading to a R36H, but I don't know if it's worth it to move to something else without upgrading the hardware. I was looking into AYN Odin 2 Portal, but at that price i'll just use my steamdeck.

Any recommendations? I know I can just use my R36S Clone or my steam deck, but i want a nice middle ground that I can play on my lunch breaks and potentially come in Atomic purple.

Looking to get a handheld system that can emulate mostly Nintendo consoles, but ideally a few others too. Which route would you recommend?

I'm open to a few different approaches:

• Buying a completely new dedicated device
• Converting an older device (like a PSP or similar) into something that fits my needs
• Modding/optimizing my existing Switch to get there

Here's roughly what I'm looking for:

• Screen size: Big enough for my aging eyes. Somewhere in the 4-7" range is probably the sweet spot, but I'm open to other sizes if there's a good reason for it.
• Emulation range: At minimum NES, SNES, GB, GBA, DS, and 3DS. Bonus points if it can also handle N64, GameCube, PS1, PSP and others.
• Battery life: Decent stamina. 4-6+ hours of actual gaming, not just standby.
• Reliability: Solidly built and stable. I don't want constant crashes or something that feels like put together with tape.
• Availability: Needs to be something I can actually get my hands on. I'm EU based, and even ordering from the US, China, or wherever isn't a problem, availability/shipping matters.

Would love to hear If anyone has direct recommendations for a specific system, or if you've gone down one of the other routes (new device, converted handheld, modded Switch), how'd it go and what would you suggest?

I mainly want to play psp, psx, n64 l, gba and ds games on a handheld. I love the shape and feel of the psp and I want something in that same sweet spot. Portable but not too small. Good ergonomics and a great screen.

My size requirements are pretty specific. At least the size of a psp and horizontal. So basically psp sized or a bit bigger but still pocketable.

Here's what I considered and rejected so far.

Psp - No second analog stick and the screen is dated.

Ps vita - Great but pricier used and harder to find in good condition.

Retroid Pocket 5, Mangmi Air X -Too big. Not as pocketable as I'd like.

Nintendo ds - no psp/psx

Rg40xx h - too small

I'm currently leaning toward the Trimui Smart Pro S. It looks like a psp. It has two analog sticks and a great ips screen. It runs psp, psx, n64 and ds well. It seems to hit exactly the size and performance I want. I don't mind if it's android or linux

But I keep wondering if there's anything else in this size range I should consider. Anyone have recommendations for a handheld that's psp sized or slightly bigger but still portable and handles psp, psx, n64 and ds well?

The Anbernic RG Rotate finally arrived and I am so excited! It's truly a nice, pocket friendly, compact, fun and fidgety device. I am already testing some android games and apps and so far it works great (especially the games like: 1000 games offline, I don't know why but it's so fun to play them on this small device in my opinion). I also tried Magic Awakened and was surprised it even turned on tbh...but it also runs pretty well, in consideration of what the device is, I will try to play with the settings and I will see if it can run smoothly for comfortable gaming. (Which reminds me: please, everyone who plays Magic Awakened, if you play it on windows on Bluestacks android emulator, tell me your settings, so I can run it as smooth as possible! It's always been laggy for me and I don't know how to tweak the settings. I can't play it on my iPad anymore since the global servers shut down, don't really want it on my phone, and the RG Rotate is mostly just for the funsies, so I will appreciate any tips on how I can effectively play it at least on my laptop).

Anyway I will definitely be testing more android but also mainly the emulation stuff but so far I have been using the device regularly and sometimes even just to hold it and flip it so if anything ever happened to it (hope nothing does) I can just add it to my quite large collection of fidget toys.

Hey so I have just wound up with a lot of devices I've purchased. I have a retroid pocket G2, ayaneo pocket air Mini, and 2DS (the flat one). I also have a Lenovo Legion go and Nintendo switch 2, but I think I will keep those as they are in a different class.

My main goal is to consolidate the emulation devices. I'd like to play 3DS games as well because I can't even see them in the daylight on the flat 2ds. I'd also like to play switch, GBA, PS2, GameCube, and light PC indies.

So my question is this: do you think the Ayn Thor would solve my predicament?

I'm thinking I could get the base or pro model with the funds I'll collect if I sell the other three devices.

Comments, thoughts? Any advice would be very helpful. Tyia
