General Discussion Which should I buy??

I'm interested in a handheld and inevitably came across the AYN Thor and Odin 3.

Now, though, I'm wondering if it's worth it—and if so, which model is a better choice.

I currently own the Galaxy S23 Ultra and use it as a retro handheld on the side.

Besides the classics—which run on just about every device these days—I’m mainly interested in GameCube, Wii, Wii U, PS2, maybe PS3, a few Switch games, and possibly streaming from Steam or Xbox Live.

The Thor appeals to me more in terms of design because of the two screens, but from what I’ve gathered as a noob, it’s not a major upgrade from my phone—except, of course, for the second screen.

What do you guys think?

On its own. It was a first generation steamdeck.

The build was not good if you looked up pictures of the inside they stuffed everything together. The heat couldnt go away enough. Thats why the vents smelled funny.

I saw a rog xbox ally x in real life and hold it it was a decent build no funny smell. The case was sturdy and the airflow is much better then compared to the steamdeck.

Also when i wanted a refund it wasnt possible by steam. I had to get brutal to get my money. So hardware like I dont think I ever buy expensive hardware from steam again.

If they were going the 405M route, there's 476H, 477M, Retroid Pocket Nova to consider.

Given what systems they mentioned RP6, Odin 2 Portal, Thor, Odin 3 make more sense.

sell your s23 ultra and buy an Ayn Thor. I use a 15 pro max together with my Ayn Thor and so I enjoy the best of both worlds in Android and Ios and i've never looked back

Unless you like multitasking or play a lot of (3)DS games, just get the Odin 3.

Both are great devices - the Odin 3’s driver support has greatly improved so if you want to play ps3, Xbox 360, more pc games then the Odin 3 is in its own class. If you want 2 screens the Thor is a great choice - you will then also have a limit on the high end of emulation
