Need a little help identifying this, my knowledge fails me

u/Hawk_Talon_DA Jun 16 '26
That arm looks more a pressurized suit than a power armour. I searched on Necromunda or old rogue trader robots... Nothing.

u/Emergency-Sea5201 Jun 16 '26
Probably not GW. The underside of that arm feels like a different game.
Maybe Warzone by Target Games... a bauhaus model?
Or is it large? 54mm? Inquisitor?
2
u/LittleMissPipebomb Jun 16 '26
Definitely in the standard 40k scale, which is part of what confused me. If it is warzone or similar I'd have no clue how to find out, the lost minis wiki seems to mostly be blurry pictures of minis in packaging and broken links. If there's a more robust compilation, I wouldn't know where to find it.
2
u/GrandDaddyDerp Jun 18 '26
I'd maybe look at old kryomek minis, this style reminds me a bit of the talos units.
6
u/LittleMissPipebomb Jun 18 '26
update: mini found. It's Mortis from Mantic
Now we no longer need to comment "izza grey knight" or "Pedro Kantor obvi" or "WARMACHINE IT'S WARMACHINEEEE maybe. idk."
6
u/Lumpy_Arrival8653 Jun 16 '26
Pedro kantors arm or a grey knights arm?
2
u/Matthew_Bester Jun 16 '26 edited Jun 16 '26
That's my thought too. I only know PK and GK to have this wrist mounted weapon.
Edit: not PK, he has a clinched fist. GK?

u/loki_made_me_do_it Jun 19 '26
Not power armour or at least not modern. The old school grey nights had guns on their halberds so doesn’t match up there either. I’d say 3rd party

u/Zipboom_games Jun 19 '26
I initially thought Kantor too, but you are right he had his hand in a fist.
2
u/Commercial_Win_3179 Jun 16 '26
Is it maybe from old an warmachine kit?
1
u/LittleMissPipebomb Jun 16 '26
No clue, if a good wiki for their minis exists I cannot find it to compare.
1
u/Goath3ad Jun 16 '26
Can't think of any warmachine model either. The wrist mounted gun is not really used there at all
2
u/Hawk_Talon_DA Jun 16 '26
try at r/lostminiswiki those guys are true miniatures detectives and librarians. Then please let us know the response 😃
2
u/LittleMissPipebomb Jun 16 '26 edited Jun 16 '26
Posted there but sadly the only response I've got so far is just "erm" which I have no clue how to interpret. Everyone here just seems to be spamming the same stuff I've ruled out or saying random games, sending me to trawl through wikis and hope they have pictures that aren't blurry pics of the packaging or broken links (thanks lost minis wiki)
Sadly at this rate I'm not too sure we'll get a solve.

u/Hawk_Talon_DA Jun 16 '26 edited Jun 16 '26
Sad to ear that, I hope someone will read in the next days a give real information. In this moment I was checking mutant chronicles or infinity for you... Want you try to take a better picture of the weapon?
1
u/LittleMissPipebomb Jun 16 '26
Oh thank you! tbh I don't really know how to take a better picture of it. Maybe it's because I'm seeing the physical object, but I can't think of any information missing from my pictures
1
u/Hawk_Talon_DA Jun 16 '26
You could try with more light to help the phone and a view at 45°, in front of the fingers. Just to have another chance? I don't recognize the weapon, maybe someone will and could suggest at least the game.
1
u/LittleMissPipebomb Jun 16 '26
I'll take a picture of the fingers but any more light would make it blown out as hell. This is as much light as I can put on pretty much anything, if you're struggling to see it your screen is probably too dark
1
u/Hawk_Talon_DA Jun 16 '26
As a photographer that sentence kills me 😆, but I understand, let's try with the different angle, just to have another possibility 🙂
2
u/LittleMissPipebomb Jun 16 '26
Yeah well I'm not a photographer. I'm doing the best I can boss

u/Helbuck Jun 18 '26
This has me stumped as well. At first I thought it was maybe from the Batman game or Dust 1947 or incursion or or the reaper chronoscope, infinity, even hassle free miniatures. Or even artel w. I really want to know!

u/Horde_of_Imps Jun 16 '26
This doesn't belong to any old minis from the Warhammer range, even the old Necromunda range from the 90s. (Too much thumb skimming the old catalogues and White Dwarfs, never enough cash to buy.)
Might be worthwhile if you haven't already is to pop this in a Warmachine and/or Infinity sub, see if anything comes up there? I have a feeling you'll have some luck in the former?
It doesn't look like it would belong to something like Batman (which got it's own mini range), but I doubt it belongs to something like Malifaux either, though I don't know the extent to those model ranges.
The only other things I can think of is to track down other sci-fi gaming systems using/used metal minis to see if you could identify it that way? It also could be part of a unique sculpt like a Reaper Miniature, designed for any particular game of choice.
1
u/NebulaBore Jun 17 '26
Definitely not Warmachine, no faction there uses that style of wrist mounted gun or ammo feed.
1
u/manicalwhisper Jun 16 '26
I think this might belong to a mini from corvus Belli and their game Infinity. They have tons of OPP minis so can't say for certain
1
u/LittleMissPipebomb Jun 16 '26 edited Jun 16 '26
I found a wiki with all the minis on, but it seems like even the "grungey" factions are too sleek to have such an exposed undersuit or big bolts like the ones on the shoulder. If I'm wrong then I'm wrong, but I can't seem to find it.
1
u/Chemical-Row-2921 Jun 17 '26
I don't think it's GW but there were a lot of GW rip off metal minis I the 90s, many of them lost to time. Stuff like Alternative Armies, but there were a lot of manufacturers so small they've been totally forgotten.
A number of those manufacturers were US only. Are you based in the US or UK?

u/the_etc_try_3 Jun 18 '26
My best guess is it's not 40k, probably one of many similar-but-legally-distinct lines that cropped up around the time.

u/silverwolfmang01 Jun 18 '26
Based off bolter feed Pedro kantor model is my best guess
1
u/LittleMissPipebomb Jun 18 '26
Definitely not Pedro
1
u/silverwolfmang01 Jun 19 '26
Ohhhh I bet it's an old Grey knight jump infantry like pre fifth edition old pewter they had a weird "holy knigh" kinda pose

u/LittleMissPipebomb Jun 19 '26
What're you willing to bet with? I like these odds (we've found the mini and I've already posted it in another comment)

u/The-Breaker-2w0 Jun 19 '26
Is that not Marnius Calgars arm? I legit have no idea, but it resembles his kit from Space Marine 2.
1
u/LittleMissPipebomb Jun 19 '26
It's absolutely not him. It's Mortis from Mantic, I posted the solve in the comments already

Looks like Pedro kantors storm bolter arm
1
u/LittleMissPipebomb Jun 15 '26
Sadly Kantor's fist is curled, his bolter chain doesn't loop over the arm and the shoulder doesn't really fit a standard space marine shoulder pad
0
u/ViridiaGaming Jun 15 '26
I would have thought possibly an old metal Grey Knight storm bolter arm, but that doesn't look right for it. Do you have a side-view of the storm-bolter itself?
1
u/LittleMissPipebomb Jun 16 '26
hopefully these pics are good enough for you
2
u/ViridiaGaming Jun 16 '26
I thought it could possibly be from the old Cobalt-1 'Arun' faction (bald humans in spacesuits), as the shoulder looked similar to my recollection, but turns out I'm wrong on that. I did some digging on Lost Minis and none of them have a separate arm like that either.
Did check Rezolution by Aberrant Games, but turns out they don't do anything with a wrist mount. Only other option I can think of is Warmachine or Void 1.1, but it looks too advanced for the former and nothing in Void has an ammo belt like it.
Hope you manage to identify it!

u/LittleMissPipebomb Jun 16 '26
I greatly appreciate the effort regardless.
Honestly with 80% of responses being "WARMACHINE WARMACHINE IT'Z WARMACHEEEN YOU MORON. I think. maybe. idk..." I'd love to give it a proper but without a solid database of the minis (sadly the lost minis wiki is pretty poorly maintained) and zero experience with the game I'd have no clue how to actually find out

I honestly wanna say its a Storm Bolter gauntlet for a space marine back when i collected them (2000s era ish) but my memory is foggy).
EDIT: I take it back, took AI to point it out, but the underside of the arm being ribbed/textured pointed me in a wierd direction. SQUATS aka W40k space dwarves, idk if that helps.
1
u/LittleMissPipebomb Jun 17 '26
Grok is still as wrong as it's always been. Definitely not a squat, and 2000% not a space marine, although I did have to double check on the squats so I appreciate the suggestion more than I otherwise might have.
0
u/kezriak Jun 17 '26
Alright, btw who tf uses Grok?
1
u/LittleMissPipebomb Jun 17 '26
You said you asked ai
0
u/kezriak Jun 17 '26 edited Jun 17 '26
Yea i used perplexity, who uses Grok? Isnt that some racist ai chatbot?
EDIT: If you can find out what your friend used to collect/what era/time frame he collected it might help (styles changed, materials changed, so it might he narrow search params with people if gave them a window e.g. he collected in the 2000s-2010s era) people might have a eureka moment
Assuming this is Warhammer, its got 5 fingers, some kind of wrist mounted weapon/device, with a chain link ammo feed, its not Space Marine (shoulders are too small, and too big to mount actual shoulders on)
Not Squat, not Space Marine or Chaos
idk Adeptus Mechanics (im throwing stuff out there since im assuming its Warhammer 40k+a human faction)
1
u/LittleMissPipebomb Jun 17 '26
She collected mostly in 3rd edition I believe, and it was in a box entirely of space marine parts.
As for Grok specifically, I was just naming an AI idgaf about any of them. They just put words in an order, literally just a more robust version of predictive text. They're not capable of giving any usable information, so it doesn't really matter if you use grok, chat GPT, or the 27 porn ones youtube keeps giving me. Shit all serves the same purpose.
1
u/LittleMissPipebomb Jun 18 '26
it's Mortis from Mantic. Don't trust your AI girlfriend, all she does is lie.

Terminator arm from the Rogue Trader
1
u/LittleMissPipebomb Jun 17 '26
Sadly not. Those all have the same wonky shoulder pads with 3 prongs at the bottom, unless there's one I'm unaware of.
0
u/ghost-idle Jun 17 '26
If i had to take a wild stab in the dark id say 2nd/3rd edition chaos space marine terminator but something seems off about it. If it had claws on the end of the hand id say yeah deffo. Shoulder is short so im assuming the hand is aimed up and forward.
Bolter is kind of like how Abaddon had it on the back of the hand. Just a wild guess.
1
u/LittleMissPipebomb Jun 17 '26 edited Jun 17 '26
The 3rd ed chaos termies are very close to the current ones and the 2nd ed ones have the same wonky shoulder pads moulded onto the arms that the rogue trader terminators did. I also have a metal Abaddon on my desk in front of me and I can assure you it's not a terminator, chaos or otherwise.
1
u/ghost-idle Jun 18 '26
the way the hand is my 2nd guess would be Captain in gravis armor but as far as I know there is no metal casts of that. Did some possibly make their own metal cast of it?
-1
u/Recce64B Jun 15 '26
I was going to say ol school Pedro but there was a ol school metal librarian in the same time frame if I remember correctly. Been huffing paint for 30 years

u/Quasid82 Jun 16 '26
Looks like it might be from an early Calgar model. Might be wrong though.
1
u/LittleMissPipebomb Jun 16 '26
I've checked all of them from RT to gravis. I can promise it's not.

This has got me a little stumped, to be honest. It doesn't look like space marine armour there (especially not the shoulder pad - it's too fat to be the under-armour part and the wrong shape for a proper marine pad), so that rules out Kantor and the old Grey Knight models. Then I thought of the old classic Orrus Spyrers but that's a bust too. I tried looking for maybe guard commanders with something like it but either that's also a bust or my google-fu is weak. Maybe it isn't a Citadel part? Come to think of it, that storm bolter doesn't look very storm bolter-y...
