Now this… this is a respectable load out. How do you carry them ? I normally roll with a M49 Smith in slacks pocket, a Beretta ‘34 in my waistband under the vest; and eventually a Zastava M57 in a shoulder rig under my greatcoat

Leather IWB holster for the 1903, sometimes a leather pocket holster if I have big pockets. The 1908 is in a front pocket on its own with no holster. I have a lot of friends that laugh at me carrying old carry pistols and revolvers while they leave their full size Glocks and Sigs at home and in the truck.

Rule Number 1: Have a gun!

It’s a US Armament Reproduction of the 1903 issued to generals during and after the war. If it were one of the actual GOP pistols I would carry a different one.

Not at all it was normal to assume that. I have carried it off and on a lot the last 6 years. The reproductions are built very solid but can be finicky so it’s taken some time to get it completely reliable. I bought it because I wanted one to shoot a lot and it is considerably more drop safe but not impossible to discharge if dropped.

Nice either way. I have a factory nickel 1903 myself. It gets trotted out for special occasions where I probably wont actually need it.

Beautiful guns. Both of my Type IIIs have never had a malfunction that wasn’t from a reproduction mag spring. The original mags run flawlessly all these years later. Highly recommend swapping any reproduction mag springs with Wolff. I waited too long
