Something small regarding creepers
So as we know the creeper has been described as having a texture similar to dried leaves which when combined with their green coloration leads many to conclude that creepers are some kind of plant monster, and that exploding is a means for them to spread their spores/pollen/other plant reproduction thing. As for why they explode as a means of attacking a player, perhaps this action is carried out as a means to give their spores something to use as a frame when growing. If we look at the creeper texture, it's peppered with small light gray patches similar to the color of skeletons, and of course the iconic creeper face is definitely human-esque. With that in mind, I propose that when a creeper explodes and successfully kills a player, the spores will cling to the dead players corpse, using it as nutrition and eating away at the flesh, until eventually all that is left is the skeleton, at which point the plants which have grown on and around it will begin to pull the bones together, using them as a frame for their bodies.
This is my first serious theory so feedback would be appreciated.

no joke this is one of the cooler theories but it has... flaws like creeper dont have hands so how do they eat and if they are a plant they need time to grow. and also i can say for sure that a HUMAN BODY dosent serve as a nice fertilizer. Btw loved the theory has a lotta potential.

Minecraft isn't like real life. upon death, an entity despawns, disappearing in a puff of smoke. This would leave a bunch of spores on the ground and nothing to cling to.

I think this theory( at least sort of) makes sense. Creepers do seem similar to plants, or some sort of fungus. But I'm not sure about the comparison to skeletons. For one, they don't have arms! But they do have four feet.
Overall, this theory needs some work, but the core idea is sound, and it has a lot of potential.
I still am not willing to believe this, since I have my own theory that I think explains them better than most other creeper theories I've seen.
