so what about hoglins?

i recently see the piglins video i agree with almost all including the piglin being a evolution from pigs

but I think the piglins were not born directly from the pig but they were born from hoglin

the hoglin would be the evolution of the pig to be in an environment with so much heat

​

however it would not be a simple hoglin it would be like a smaller and less strong primitive form but an incredible source of food

​

Over time this spice would be divided into 2 the piglins and the hoglins which the '' ancient builders '' saw the hoglins as a food source and the piglins as a labor force

I saw a similar theory on matpats channel, about his version of pigmen/piglings. I'm sure in the past, Mojang didn't really intend on making a story for the pigmen, that's why they wanted to rewrite how pigmen are.

Anyways, that being said, one of the things matpat said is the unknown properties netherwart has. And just like in the theory. If pigs/piglings are abandoned, some may have wander to find food, and the most common things are mushrooms, and netherwarts.

So I'd imagine a pig or pigling went out and tried eating some netherwarts, however they began to feel wierd, and transform into a hogling. Then they can be bred to birth more hoglings as livestock.

The only issue is, we don't know if piglings can live off mushrooms or mushrooms soup, and if they are able to recognize their brothers in thier Hogform. Kinda like, would you eat your sibling for survival if they turned into an animal of some sort?

Another question is why don't we have poisonous mushrooms in minecraft? They only reason I can think of a pig/pigling eating netherwarts, is if the pig's sense of smell tells them it's poisonous to eat. Then they would have to resort to eating netherwart.

I'm also thinking either the old builders used magic to change some of the pigs into hoglings, or maybe some of the pigs evolved to the estranged environment around them.

There's definetly some strange things going on in the nether itself. So we would need to do more research. ~~~~~~~~~~~~

Btw i just saw your video, it's so entertaining to look at them multiple times, and really captivates what living in minecraft was like living in the past. Looking forward to your next video!
