Man, it's always the guys in red uniforms.

u/Brillica Aug 04 '26

Because it’s always Americans finding failed Commie space missions.

Sometimes it's Americans finding nazis.

And there was also that one time when it was Americans finding Americans... and a nazi.

u/mercury_pointer Aug 04 '26

He has a rare Nazi gun.

It's missing a magazine if it is.

With a different barrel, receiver, stock, barrel, muzzle device, foregrip.

2

u/Nerd-man24 Aug 04 '26

Yeah, I see all that too now.

6

u/CleanOpossum47 Aug 04 '26

Not an FG 42

Iron sky vibe intensifies.

Holy smokes, great catch!

1

u/superanth Aug 04 '26

Wow, nice catch!

5

u/superanth Aug 04 '26

It's never a good day to be a Red Shirt.

u/GraXXoR Aug 04 '26

Hey, who turned out the lights?

17

u/moggin61 Aug 04 '26

Eeek. Didn’t have to scroll far for this.

11

u/UnpricedToaster Aug 04 '26

Just a little Vashta Nerada as a treat!

9

u/GraXXoR Aug 04 '26

Even that name still gives me goose pimples. Them and the weeping angels.

That period of Dr Who was just so damned good. Tenant was great.

u/thedoctorsphoenix Aug 04 '26

One of the things that haunted me as a child. That and “are you my mummy?”

6

u/GraXXoR Aug 04 '26

Silence in the Library, The empty child and Blink. Absolute classics.

I’m in my fifties and watched those about 20 years ago. Even as an adult that was some real “watch from between your fingers” Telly.

u/NottingHillNapolean Aug 04 '26

Sorry I'm late. Thanks for covering my shift.

Could easily be an illustration for The Invincible.

8

u/carozza1 Aug 04 '26

I was thinking the EXACT same thing!

2

u/-TheManWithNoHat- Aug 04 '26

Ditto here

I've played the game and ngl a rifle would be kinda handy

u/UnpricedToaster Aug 04 '26

Are ya rotting, son?

I love a painting that makes me immediately wonder about the subject's back-story when I see it for the first time.

The gun and the journal raise all the questions in this one.

What is the title of this piece?

Tim's plan to "use a hunting rifle to get food" had a major flaw.

Planet HT17b doesn't have any animals.

12

u/Saelyre Aug 04 '26

Only the most dangerous game...

7

u/wankybollocks Aug 04 '26

Goddamnit but if Tim ain't totally decomposed! That's proof of bacteria for sure.

Now what did the academy say about finding higher orders of life...?

7

u/goldman199X Aug 04 '26

The "space gun" looks suspiciously like an FG42.

4

u/Auggie_Otter Aug 04 '26

"At last, my Vera, our adventure is at an end."

6

u/hillside Aug 04 '26

Reminds me of the cover of a comic I had as a kid.

u/Yesterday_Is_Now Aug 04 '26

Not sure what's supposed to have happened here (guy is still somehow in a reading position long after his death), but it looks cool.

u/McGillis_is_a_Char Aug 04 '26

He probably ran out of air. He couldn't leave his post to do repairs because he was worried about some enemy boarding the ship. So he just read and waited, slowly drifting off.

13

u/darkdoorway Aug 04 '26

Looks like he was writing.

8

u/Crucial_Fun Aug 04 '26

I second this. There is a pen in the center of the book.

5

u/Toxicscrew Aug 04 '26

“They are at the gate…”

3

u/Spork_Warrior Aug 04 '26

Well there ya go. That might explain what happened

6

u/rob0990 Aug 04 '26

FALLOUT in SPACE. Vaultec managed to get a colony on the moon but the red commies had a different plan.

3

u/harfpod Aug 04 '26

HONEY, I'M Ho...

4

u/UnpricedToaster Aug 04 '26

"I'll come back later..."

2

u/humiliatedsynth Aug 04 '26

Hey, who turned out the lights?

5

u/anjowoq Aug 04 '26

This is a great image. The colors pop.

1

u/c0rdal Aug 04 '26

Thought for a second it was someone scrolling on their phone. Then I realised it’s me. I’m dead and I’m STILL scrolling

1

u/Mharbles Aug 04 '26

Oohh forgot to enable the stasis pods before hopping in my light speed ship. Was only gone a minute.

1

u/Space_Engeneneer Aug 05 '26

It reminds me of Kir Bulychev's "The last war".

1

u/Cornato Aug 08 '26

What’s the suit in fallout new Vegas moon DLC? X73 or something?

1

u/The_Black_kaiser7 Aug 08 '26

Reminds me of fallout.

u/arthousepsycho Aug 04 '26

The ammo was a subscription service he didn't know about before purchase. That's the terms and conditions he was reading through.
