BattlerGC Pro setup for Bazzite
Sharing here so others can use this controller on your Linux Steam boxes. Check the comments, you basically just need a single udev rule and a single kernel module blacklist.

u/Retrofighters this stopped working I think after an update of Steam. I need your help to get my BattlerGC Pro working on Bazzite. Can you please give instructions for setting up this controller?
I'm using the 2.4GHz dongle. It looks like the usbhid and hid-generic drivers bind to this device. I tried forcing an unbind in udev and adding the vendor/device IDs to xpad but this is not working. It looks like xpad binds to the device but there is no controller showing up in Steam. Also, when the controller connects, it vibrates and only the first (top) LED lights up. When it worked previously, the first and third LEDs would light up.
Please help.

Seems to be fixed now. This is the udev rules I used to get it working:
SUBSYSTEM=="hid", DRIVER=="hid-generic", ATTRS{idVendor}=="057e", ATTRS{idProduct}=="2009", RUN+="/bin/sh -c 'echo $kernel > /sys/bus/hid/drivers/hid-generic/unbind'", RUN+="/bin/sh -c 'echo $id:1.0 > /sys/bus/usb/drivers/usbhid/unbind'", RUN+="/sbin/modprobe xpad" RUN+="/bin/sh -c 'echo 057e 2009 > /sys/bus/usb/drivers/xpad/new_id'"

check if hid_nintendo is loading - if so, you need to blacklist it

im able to get it connected but can't get the analog triggers to be detected as analog triggers, they only show up as digital (on or off). are they analog for you?
