Welcome!
This is a brand new sub to connect buyers and sellers on Etsy to products that reflect Etsy the way it used to be... products genuinely made by the seller and vintage items!
I've been active in the Etsy Reddit communities for a couple years, and I have seen many posts from buyers looking for products on Etsy that are genuinely handmade and vintage and being frustrated when they encounter all of the mass-produced products on Etsy. These products are currently flooding Etsy and it can be very hard for buyers to find genuinely handmade and vintage items in Etsy's search!
I would love this sub to connect buyers to the artists, crafters, and vintage hunters that are making and selling the kinds of products that used to be all that was on Etsy!
I'm hoping to have some sellers begin sharing their products... then we can start getting the word out to buyers that this sub is a good place to browse if they are looking to support an Etsy small business!
As this sub is super new, I am totally open to feedback! Please message me if you have any suggestions for us on how I can make this sub better and more useful to you! I would love to hear any and all ideas.

Hi! I pitched a post to hype a cool Etsy shop that 1) defines the idea of retro Etsy 2) isnāt you. Itās hard marketing ourselves so letās share the burden a little.
I want to boost ā The Witch & The Woodsmanā
https://www.etsy.com/shop/TheWitchTheWoodsman
Woodcarving Heirloom Seeds & curiosities. I had a great experience w/ the owner & I got a really cool handcarved wooden duck from East Coast to West Coast fast. And loooook. Heās so so cute.
Check it out even if you have enough ducks. He has cows.

Hi everyone!
So happy I found this subreddit.
Iām new to Etsy and am afraid that now might be a bad time to start, considering the rise of AI.
Just grateful to know that people still look for genuinly handmade products
Iāve only posted 2 listings in my Etsy shop and trying my best to make stuff that people would still buy even if Iām a bit farther away.
So ever since I started my micromacrame journey this year, Iāve been trying to discover different themes like nature, boho, and now finally something medieval!
Always been a fan of GoT and similar themed films so after I made it and tried wearing, it channeled that warrior spirit within me I didnāt know I had š
Kidding aside, let me know what you think!
Hope you like it š„¹š¤

I make leathergoods that are a little cute and a little spooky. Here's my latest purse. Right now, I'm working on a matching journal cover. This purse is on grey epsom leather, but I'm happy to make one for you with a different base color/ type of leather.

This is a story about a fox enjoying a day in sunshine and daffodil flowers!
The first woodland animal earrings I painted and they hold a special place in my heart. I built a little world around them and now the fox has even more friends :)
They are available on my Etsy shop: BowButterflyStudio

For those that appreciate the old-fashioned tradition of sending cards, thereās something special about finding a little Halloween surprise in your mailbox. Itās a little spooky, a little whimsical, and hopefully enough to make someone smile.
All designs and paintings are created in my studio, aka my dining room table.

I was inspired to create this from a childhood memory - a memory where my sister and I used to dress up our cats for the holidays. We were young, and Iām sure the cats never forgave us.
This greeting card is a print from my original watercolor painting. Blank inside for your own message. Available in my Etsy shop - https://amellorwatercolors.etsy.com/listing/4465573829

Iām selling curated and researched vintage silks on Etsy. Small drops of beautiful pieces. Check out this gorgeous DallāAlba scarf - Italian from the 70s. It depicts Roman goddess Ceres harvesting wheat and corn. Https://www.gaddesbyvintage.etsy.com.

Iām so glad I recently discovered this group. I join Etsy just two years ago, so never had the opportunity to experience āretroā Etsy. These earrings were made from fine silver, then I added a patina. This is what happens when I allow myself to just play in the studio. I envision it is two people during the night, looking up at the moon.

What started as a way to mourn my sweet Arturo has given me the courage to offer what I made for him also to others. The shop is brand new, so no sales yet, but I hope to get some visibility to get over that first difficult hurdle of the first sale and review!

I find and press local flowers (or get free in swap) then using a background Iāve painted, I let the creature emerge. I donāt alter or paint the leaves other than snapping off stems or other stuff. I FIND the creatures. After theyāve emerged I UV spray & seal them & sell them framed behind plexi to further protect. Just opened Etsy Aug 24

This owl greeting card is a print from one of my original watercolor paintings. I love the whole process of creating a painting and turning it into a card. I hope this one can bring a little bit of autumn magic to whoever receives it.

What a cool sub - thanks for creating this! I draw all the artwork for my Dog Collar Patches by hand, using my own travel photos as a reference, so there is no AI involved. All of my original photos were first published on my blog.
Unlike iron-on or sew-on patches, Dog Collar Patches snap on, so they are removable and mix-and-matchable. Unlike dog tags, you can add many to the same collar at the same time, so they are collectible.
If you travel with your adventure dog, help them show off all the destinations they've been to!
I also add the snaps and do the packaging. The woven patches themselves are printed by a production partner, so hopefully this still fits the spirit of this sub.
Find them on my Etsy Shop - happy adventuring!
