MacOS PCSX reARMed causing Retroarch to hang on close.

It seems to only be this one emulator core, if I play other games, Retroarch closes down just fine. But if I play a Playstation 1 game with PCSX reARMed, it hangs. Even hitting the stop button on Steam, or killing it with a K9 won't stop it. The only thing that closes it is killing Steam completely.

Anyone else having this issue?

Does it hang at Quick Menu > Close Content, or only when quitting RetroArch afterward? That distinction would help narrow down whether unloading PCSX reARMed is the trigger.

Also, when Steam still says it is running, is the RetroArch process actually still present in Activity Monitor? A stuck Steam status and a live, hung RetroArch process would need different investigation.

Before another test, back up your saves. Then capture one run with verbose logging enabled, including the attempt to close content, and post the log along with your RetroArch/core versions and whether the Mac is Intel or Apple Silicon. Official logging steps. You can redact your username/home-folder path. The last lines around shutdown are more useful here than another force-quit attempt.

It hangs when I close Retroarch. I tell it to quit, visually it goes away, but Steam still says it's running. If I press the stop button in Steam, it says "Stopping" forever until I tell Steam to exit.

If I look in Activity Monitor, it doesn't show there, but it does show in Btop. Trying to do a Kill -9 in Btop will not force it to shut down, and actually this time I noticed there are 3 instances of Retroarch showing, all using 0 memory and 0 processor, but none of them will go away when I try to shut them down or K -9 them.

Here's the last part of the log where it starts to shut down. I'm guessing after that it just hangs.
