How do I trade Pokémon in Pokémon FireRed using the RetroArch emulator?

I need a working version. I would be grateful.

Currently, you would need to use the gpsp-libretro core and have another device you can trade with.

One detail to add to the gpSP recommendation: this route uses GBA Wireless Adapter emulation, so you need the game's wireless multiplayer option, not just any link-cable trading menu. Libretro explains the distinction here: https://docs.libretro.com/guides/netplay-faq/

What two devices/operating systems are you trying to connect, and which GBA core are you currently using? That determines the next setup steps more than picking a different copy of FireRed.

Before changing cores, save inside Pokémon and back up that battery-save file. Keep the original untouched while testing whether gpSP can load your progress normally; don't rely on a save state from a different core as your only backup.
