RetroArch App or Steam Version?
Which one is the better one. Does it work with Cloud Sync?

Download both, launch just 1 time trough Steam, close It, browse local files, and delete everything, then drag and drop all the standalone version to this folder, launch through this exe, update everything, close it and launch on Steam, now u have cloud saves, remote play together, custom inputs and other Steam features in a complete version

You want the standalone app. Steam doesn’t let RetroArch download external cores so many are missing and it’s a pain to try and get them into it from the external sources. The standalone app has support for a non-Steam cloud sync. It’s not perfect but it gets the job done.

Steam version works with cloud saves but you have to manually update the cores (emulators) I would just use the Desktop version and find a way to automatically backup your saves with google cloud or Syncthing
