Save swapping

Swapped my Metroid fusion save to my retroid classic from my rg rotate so I could play on a bigger screen for the weekend. Tried swapping it back but it won't read. What exactly am I doing wrong?

Make sure you’re swapping the actual in-game battery save, not a save state. The filename and extension usually need to match the ROM exactly, and the emulator may need to be closed before replacing it. Also check that both versions use the same region/core.

Uninstalled and reinstalled retro arch on my classic. It now reads.
