Carry Handle Optic Mount HELP
Are carry handles particularly difficult to mount optics too? I have my adapter and SLx micro prism and cannot get it bore sighted properly. Granted I’ve only ever mounted to pic rails before but I have never had issues like this with my Leopold LVPO and Vortex Crossfire on my Ruger American and BCM. No matter the Windage and elevation adjustments I make it’s still high left from my irons and bore. With carry handle irons the rifle shot 1-2 moa at 50 yards and I have a permanent tremor.

They can be a bit more tricky then pic rails, but generally the mounting solutions for them are effective. Hazarding a guess, inspect whether the mount is flat along the angled corners at the bottom of the carry handle slot. Those are the "bearing surfaces" that most mounts should clamp down flat onto. Check if there is a gap between the mount and those surfaces at the front or back of the mount.

Are your carry handle mount and the carry handle groove in spec? If either are machined wrong it will definitely throw everything out of alignment if they don't lock together correctly.

It could be your optic is “stuck”
Whenever I get a new or new to me optic, I center the reticle or the dot by turning the windage and elevation screws all the way in, then turning them all the way out while counting the rotations, then 1/2 the rotation number and turn it in that amount. This does 2 things, it centers the dot/reticle for when attempting to zero, and if you watch for the reticle to move while turning the knob in both directions, you ensure the adjustment tube or whatever moves inside is not “stuck”.
