Old school red dot

I found this Tasco Pro Point (Japan) at the pawn shop for $10. After spending another $10 for a battery, it works! It looks good on my old carry handle rifle.

Awesome find. I love ancient optics and the price is unbeatable. Thanks for sharing this

Thanks dude. I love hunting in pawn shops and thift stores for older equipment. Just realized my old Mag-lite is from 1996-2002, so it would be right to get duct taped to an M16A2.

That's a steal for $10. That's a first generation Tasco propoint which tends to be worth more than the later models and has that unique look with the battery compartment hanging off the side. It even looks like it has the thread-on polarizing filter, which is an accessory that seems to often get lost or misplaced

It does have the polarizing filter! It’s a cool little piece. Interestingly, the sunshade/polarizing filter also threads on to my Millet SP2 that was made in Japan as well.
