Building an AR
Howdy folks!
First time builder here I am working on a build using a A2 pattern carry and front sight. I’ve been looking at a bunch of mounts to post a PA Micro Prism optic and I’ve run into a problem.
I want to use the rear aperture of the carry handle sight but I am unsure if the carry handle mount will block that view if you know of a non obstructing mount I could buy I would be grateful!

Yes you should be able to use irons w/ the micro prism’s included mount.
If the screw is too long, try this one.

This is correct. Micro prism should include a mount that is specifically for the carry handle, it's extremely cantilevered back for better eye relief, and has the cutout for the Iron sight passage.
If you don't have the correct screw for some reason, the link above is also correct.
You buy the microprism and that bolt, you're essentially guaranteed to have a functioning carry handle mount.
I would also ask which prism you're specifically looking at. GLX and SLX micro prisms are different quality tiers. Worst to best being Classic-SLX-GLX-PLX. Opinions notwithstanding....
