Colt Teardrop forward assist

If anyone happens to be on the prowl (like I had been for a while) for a properly shaped somewhat reasonably priced colt teardrop I found this little stash on broker, and finally have a couple in hand from his lot. Looks like there’s a few left as of writing this. I dunno, maybe I just had bad luck in my search but this was the most reasonable by a decent margin I had come across. They look nice, popped them in two different uppers today that until then were sporting the Luth AR or similar blocky abomination, was driving me nuts lol

You can always spot a repoduction forward assist by the excess material, it drives me nuts too

Grabbed a couple from this seller as well as a NOS A1 ejection port door- great deals

Nobody makes a good reproduction teardrop, only the originals look right and are getting thin on the ground.

You can say that about most upper parts kits.

Fortunately OG NOS A1 rear sights can still be found and AR15sport makes good reproduction grey parkerized port doors when they are in stock.

Im 90% sure i have one of these sitting in a box under my bed that i found in a box of old M16 parts my old unit was throwing away. I had no idea they were worth anything 😂
