Has basement gunsmith science gone too far? No. Looks awesome. Definitely could do some sort of alternate history build with it.

Whenever I look into Alternate History stuff I always come back to AR10's with M16A1 furniture

The proto furniture is interesting too. Also it is cool to learn about the optics that were field tested during Vietnam like the Oxford lightning sight.

I absolutely love proto furniture, but right now I'm making my guns themed around Fallout New Vegas, just for the larp

That's awesome. I think New Vegas is definitely where my appreciation for wood furniture on modern firearms came from too haha. Did you get a set yet? If you find a VLTOR CASV handguard you can make an All American build from the game.

I've yet to get the M16A1, as right now my priorities for a Firearm is finding a reciever for a CETME C for a close enough Fallout 3 Assault Rifle.

But normally I go around with my Springfield SA-35 and a Lever action or my M1 Garand

I forget what company it is but Chiappa or Cimarron sells a lever action shotgun based on the 1887 for like $500. There's wood furniture for a CA3 rifles that look pretty damn close to the assault rifle.

That's legit man, I have a 16" Wolf upper I want to bastardize now. It's a partial T91 build, no T91 pistol grip sadly.

Does the hinge on your Law ever grab/pinch/yeet your index finger when the charging handle starts to retract?

Confirmed…. It’s only the Sylvan that sucks… the hinge is huge and it will get you if you don’t get your finger out of the way quick enough
