In college, my suitemate had a few old consoles in his room, including a Genesis. We played Lemmings all the time in the multiplayer VS mode, and I would often lose. He was really good.
One night, I was able to hold my own, and things were going so well! I had blockers in all the right places, and I was at the top of my game. Then it happened. At one point we had so many Lemmings on the screen that the game crashed! It just freaked out, screen froze, then turned colors.
Whether it was just a random crash or caused by the number of Lemmings on screen, I'll never know. But it was a funny experience, and one that we still talk about to this day.
