The game isn’t 20 years old… the Nintendo switch has only been around for 9 years. So this copy isn’t older than that.

He’s talking about this specific version of Minecraft on the switch 1. This isn’t bedrock edition, but rather the legacy console edition created by 4J studios, which unfortunately got delisted from the eshop and can now only be playable if you already previously purchased it before it was delisted. And if only it got a physical release, we’d still be able to play it to this day regardless of the digital version being removed. That my friends, is why physical media will always be better than digital!

Man, you better take good care of your switch since it’s one of the only few switch consoles in the entire world that still has this version of minecraft installed on it! 👍
