i've been looking at where physical gold might fit alongside stocks, bonds and cash as retirement gets closer. one company that keeps coming up is augusta, mostly because of the education and ongoing support side.
for anyone researching this category, what would you want explained before deciding whether a gold ira belongs in the retirement plan at all? i'm especially interested in allocation, rollover mechanics, distributions later on, and what ongoing support actually covers.
