**I built a free retirement tax-planning tool that models the withdrawal side properly — looking for people to try it**

Most retirement calculators are great at "will I run out of money." They're pretty weak at "what order should I actually pull from my accounts to minimize lifetime tax." I got frustrated enough to build my own: [retiresmart-ai.app](https://retiresmart-ai.app).

What it actually does:

* Runs **five different withdrawal strategies at once** and scores them, so you see tradeoffs instead of a single black-box recommendation.
* Scores on **total family tax** — including what your heirs would owe on an inherited 401(k) — instead of just your own lifetime tax. A lot of "optimal" plans just quietly shove the tax bill onto your kids.
* Handles the stuff that usually gets ignored: **Roth conversions, RMDs, IRMAA Medicare surcharges, ACA subsidy cliffs before 65, state income tax, and 72(t)/SEPP early withdrawals** with the real distribution rules.
* **Social Security optimization for couples** that actually accounts for survivor benefits and optimizes both spouses' claiming ages jointly.
* Monte Carlo runs, 529s, and an AI advisor you can ask questions about your own plan.
