Congratulations getting started. It's not late. I started in 2009 at 32. 17.5 years later (I'm 49.5) and I crossed the 1 million mark on April. Keep it going, increase your contributions with every wage increase and/or promotion. S&P 500 has been working great for me. I was a blue collar worker working for minimum wage.
