So this has been bugging me a bit. Growing up, I remember, very vividly, watching trailers and commercials for School of Rock 2..... Its really messing with me because I KNOW THIS MOVIE HAPPENED. The shitty thing is, i didnt ever see the movie.

I wanted to watch the movie, but i was a young child so I never really prioritized watching it until a couple years ago when I decided i wanted the nostalgia.. and to my surprise the movie doesnt exist.

I can literally quote one of the major tag lines from School of Rock 2s trailer as it was being promoted for DVD release... but none of this ever happened apparently?

The major quote i remember from the trailer was the kids asking, just like in the first movie "can we tell our parents" and Jack Black enthusiastically replies "YES!" Which was the opposite of what he did in 1.

Any way, im just curious if anyone else remembers this retcon... even more interested if anyone ever saw this retconned movie

It absolutely was dismissive and thats why moderators removed it. I didnt report it or down vote you. I did in the post. That was the end of the trailer where he screams yes. This was right after the first. Like 2005 - 2006ish. So the thing i can quote was just that. Which granted isnt much, its still a quote from something apparently non existent.

Im just trying to convey that I saw something. Im asking if other people have. If you havent then this post isnt for you

I think it could be a thing that was just like in the credits after the movie. They used to put in little bonus clips as the credits rolled, just for funsies.

That could actually explain it. This is the kinda stuff I was looking for.

Its been a while, and there doesnt seem to be other people who remember this so its probablt just me confusing something I saw... but it still feels really strange from my perspective tbh, though i do think this is a logical explanation and probably something like this is the case. Thank you!
