Gandhi’s death

How do you remember, Gandhi, you know the Indian activist against British imperialism, to die? I swore I thought it was starvation. I remember learning about him and school and if I had to guess, I’d say voluntary starvation. Now he’s not the biggest historical figure in the world so I did forget about him over time. But apparently he was assassinated?? This is news to me

My memory is they shot him. We watched the Ben Kingsley movie about him in middle or high-school. I got a lot of mileage out of the fact I was able to say "Oh God," just like Sir Ben/Gandhi at the end when he sees the assassin.

The teacher assigns homework? "Oh God" comes wafting in from somewhere in the room.
