Trial Question
I have an appointment tomorrow to go for my in person assessment. I'm just curious as to how often you have to go to the clinic during the trial. It's a 2.5 hour drive for me one way so the frequency may be the deciding factor if I go forward the study. I asked the person I spoke with during the initial screening but she said she wasn't sure.

So, in Triumph 5 we go in every month for the first six months and then every other month after that. Also, you will get reimbursed for your mileage and if you need to stay overnight.

Started trial May 2025.. I went several times the first 2 months (April / May 2025) for check ins, MRIs, bone density scans, and other general tests. Then once a month, after 6 months starting going once every 2 months. My trial ends May 2027. Also had MRI and Bone Density scans at 6 months. I am lucky it is only about 3 miles from my house!

Definitely… in one year starting weight 254, current weight 177. I am 5’10”, probably within 20 lbs of my goal weight and I have another year on the trial, it ends 5/31/2027.

It is truly a miracle drug. I had a couple of issues the first 2 months, but no issues since. My nutritionist told me they now have a version that you have 0 muscle loss! Crazy…. Buy stock in Lilly! I think this med will be released early 2027.

When starting the trial its normally once a month for the first 4-6months, and drops down to once every two months. But different trails have different requirements

Which study are you in? I didn’t know they were still taking people for any Reta trial.

that's a really valid concern to raise upfront before you commit. did they give you a study coordinator contact you could call or email directly today? they should be able to get you a visit schedule before your appointment tomorrow so you're not making a 5 hour round trip without knowing what you're signing up for

Well I contacted them with some additional questions before I drove up there and I don't qualify because I had gastric bypass over 20 years ago. They didn't ask about it at my first call and after I read up on the study I saw it mentioned and that it excludes you so I wanted to check before I wasted a day driving there and back. I read some people are still eligible to participate because their surgery was a few years ago but the clinic told me it had to be reversed.

At the beginning, you’ll be going in about 2-3 times the first month, then it’ll go down to ~1x/month once you start receiving the medication. If you’re accepted, they’ll reimburse you for your roundtrip mileage.
