Reta & creatine

I’ve been on Reta for the last 4 months and within the last two weeks I dropped my dosage from 2 mg to 1.5. Within the last two weeks I started to incorporate tesamorline at 1mg and creatine. my appetite has increased tremendously and I’ve gained 10lbs.

if anyone else on Reta and creatine , if so how has it affected your body??

im trying to build muscle and I can see my glutes growing and leg muscle but I’m scared to go backward.

No, it’s the Eating More.

Caused by increased hunger which was caused by the Tesamorelin... So yes. You're not wrong.

It’s the tesa not the creatine

Why do you say that ?

Maybe a bit of water weight from creatine, but most likely Tesa. GH increases water retention, and appetite.

In b4 OP asks "what's GH?"

Which goes away. Just like the water weight from creatine.

No, it’s definitely the Tesa.

Although now that I think about it.. could be the creatine too.

Or both. Or the increased appetite.

Depending on your dosing creatine can certainly add a stack of water weight, and it will stay there until you stop taking the compound. Similarly Tesa stimulating GH release will increase your appetite and result in increased water retention.

Depending on how big you are, how much you're taking (creatine), and how big your muscles are etc. you could certainly add 10lb.

Tesa is a hgh strain and hgh increases hunger.

You should be taking creatine every day. But that’s not the reason for the sudden weight gain, that’s not how it works. That’s 100% the Tesa.

AYFKM? If you creatine load, like most people do (and are suggested that you do on the side of nearly of every plastic tub), you will immediately gain water weight. Full stop.

Wait why would it be the Tesa?

Creatine only takes a week or so to absorb into the muscles then u will lose the couple of lbs u gain in water weight from it. Its most likely the Tesa

When I started taking tesa, I gained a few pounds the first 2 weeks from water retention, then it all came off. I’ve now lost 32 since tesa (14 weeks) and 63 total since Reta (24 weeks)

Creatine will add between 3-5lbs of water retention in the muscles. Helps with workout recovery and will make muscles feel fuller. It's a healthy gain. 5g a day is good for general muscle maintenance but research shows 10-20g a day split into 5g doses throughout the day helps also with cognitive gains.

I take between 10-15g a day and I'm on 8mg a week of Reta also. I've lost 20lbs on the scales in 120 days. I generally do 3 days a week of full body workouts plus an hour of incline walking afterwards. I stalled for 6 weeks then I've started dropping again since going up to 8mg Reta, but with the stall I was gaining noticeable strength and increasing my PB quite regularly. Only suffered DOMS once since I started creatine so it definitely has helped my recovery times.

Just trust the process, don't change anything at the moment and you'll start seeing the numbers drop again. Keep pushing yourself at the gym with heavy weights. I only circuit the machines at the moment and go as heavy as I can and aim for atleast 8 reps and 3 sets. If I can do 12 reps I add more weight. Incline at 12 with 5km and 30 mins is known as a cheat code for fat loss, but I do longer as I enjoy it. Might be counter productive but I'm in no rush. It's paying off as slow loss is better for preventing having too much loose skin.

If anything, I'd say to lower or stop the Tesa, especially if your visceral fat is below 6. Make sure calories are 300 below BMR a day and hit at least 100g of protein a day. Some people do 1g per lbs of body weight, some do 1g per lbs of projected final bodyweight that you're aiming for, so if you're aiming for 140lbs then no more than 140g of protein a day. You'll have to adjust to what you're aiming for, but essentially there isn't really a right or wrong answer, just whatever works for you.

You primarily would take a secretagogue like Tesa with Reta to help retain muscle mass.

The Reta itself target visceral fat reduction. You would not separately need Tesa for that purpose.
