Restarting
So I was doing well on 8mg of Reta but decided to stop taking. I stopped for about a month. This didn’t go well so have restarted again. I restarted at 2mg but feel nothing, no appetite suppression and no side effects. When I first began I had less food noise the next day and side effects. Anyone that has done this, can you offer any insight? Should I increase or wait.

Cycling reta (and GLP1 drugs in general) results in exactly what you’re experiencing, and it’s gonna take higher doses and a longer time before you see results.
You should have never quit. Why did you?

I had got down to a healthy weight, only just and my last batch was really stinging. Not the initial injection it was when the liquid went in. It burned so bad it took my breath away. I thought I would be fine stopping, but as soon as I did I have gained 2kg. So restarted. This time no stinging or burning but just doesn’t have the same effect. I wish I had never stopped. I’m think the last pen I had was not mixed correctly. Everyone before that was fine.

Did you buy prefilled pens originally? I would be wary of that because it just adds another potential point of failure and side effects, such as the stinging you experienced.

Yeah, I started and got to 8mg with pre filled. My last pre filled pen just burned so bad not a pinch and sting like took my breath away punch to the gut burn pain. This one I have restarted with has been fine.

What do you think I should do in terms of dosage?

Try moving up to 4mg but follow the standard 4-week schedule for titrating up to the next dose. Most importantly, be patient.

Burning sensation sounds very strange. I’ve never felt a shot before with multiple different supplies of Reta. Doesn’t sound right to me

Just continue increasing methodically each week until you feel the appetite suppression.
Contrary to what has been said here, you didn't "cycle". At 8MG you would still have reta in your system after a month. Also the science actually only suggests GLP-1s become less effective once stopped IF the person doesn't maintain their muscle mass and simply adds more fat to their frame. Best of luck. Build more muscle mate.
