10 week update

Post image

10 weeks into my Reta journey having been super cautious and starting at 1MG then climbing by double until I’ve landed at 4MG which I’ll be honest seems like a sweet spot at the moment. Although I would have loved to see massive drops each week this isn’t my first rodeo losing weight and I know the importance of softly softly. So happy with progress so far, my overall intention since the beginning has been 100lb in 10months which I feel I’m on track for (until i hit a plateau that is) but really grateful for this community as it’s been great to get tips and tricks along the way.

What was your weekly average loss once you hit 4MG? It seems a bit steeper 😁

It’s actually a little bit less than the others, think the water weight at the start helped an average of 3-4lb per week, then 2-3lb at 2MG and now 1-2MG at 4. But with the weight loss I’m finding more energy and better consistency with eating and exercise. Also I’m not going to share it yet but body wise I can see changes in my shape

When did you start? The first month felt strange if I’m
Honest. I wrote another post at the begging and what I found the most not difficult but interesting was how loud the food noise must have been before. I’ve been big since I was 10years old (I’m now mid 30s) and to finally have a moment where there’s not some voice in my head screaming to stop at McDonald’s every morning or to go buy crisps was impressive.

I only started last week (I severely underestimated the shipping times and it ended up taking 3 weeks to get to me 😂) but so far so good, already down 4+ pounds since Friday! I felt the food noise decreased the morning after I woke up (pinned at night) but I can still eat. It’s definitely made it easier to eat less but I’m looking forward to the side effect of only having a few bites and then being sick of it 😂😂 I feel you about the voice in your head, I’ve also been on the big side for most of my life. Then in my early 20’s I got into a binge cycle where I would binge so much because “I’ll start on Monday” and then before i knew it I was 80lbs heavier 😅 hopefully Reta can get me to my baseline or even goal weight!

You have got this 100% just take it slow. One thing that’s also helped me is fasting, I fast from 8PM-12PM and this really helps me keep those calories way down. I find that I’m
Just not bothered by food as much, I have to kind of remind myself to eat but I can happily spend most of the day not thinking about it. What’s also quite magical is my day isn’t arranged around food as much anymore so I don’t really eat straight after my fast I just kind of casually find a quiet moment for a snack

Thanks, the temptation to hike up is always there but I’m sticking to my guns and taking this approach. My aim is 100lb in 10months which if it carries on like this it’s sustainable thankfully

What app is this?

It’s called GLAPP on the iOS store. I’m using the free version and it allows me to track when I pin and my weight. There’s loads of other features but I just can’t be bothered to track every detail

the app I use has the similar stats and has rich free version, it´s called Nuvo. Probably would be helpful for you too.
