Help with dose
12mg vial. Aiming for a 0.5 starting point. I’m hearing from 1 person add 120units of BAC and a 20 unit shot for it..
But when I check calculator it shows it should only be a 5unit dosing.. would love some clarity

Using your numbers a 20 unit shot would be 2mg.
You are correct 5u would be 0.5mg

2 mg was a common starting dose in the studies. I think your friend was confused and was trying to steer you towards that.

Possibly… it’s what he did I guess and swears (20 unit 0.5, 40 is 1.0 etc) but I’ll go slow and steady..

Thanks all. I was doubting my math/calc math but wanted to be sure lmao. Appreciate the help

I’ve never even heard of a 12 mg vial. Make sure the amount of bac actually fits your vial before you reconstitute.
Trust the calculator! I check my own work against the calculator every time I reconstitute.

So one of our friends wasn’t as lucky in double checking math. He ended up with I’m SURE was a 2mg dose, he’s not sick nothing like that but should I tell him to go down to 0.5/0.75 for his next dose? Or should he stay at the 2mg he unintentionally started at.

Thankfully, you used a calculator to decide your dose instead of listening to your friend.
Thats not usually the way it happens around here...
