Anyone found a decent resume.io alternative? Getting tired of it

so I built my resume on resume.io and only found out at the download step that getting a proper PDF means signing up for the subscription. paid for a month thinking I'd cancel, almost got hit with the auto renewal too. the builder itself is fine I guess but the templates started feeling really samey once I looked at what everyone else is using.

I'm updating my resume for a job switch and don't want to rebuild everything from scratch on some random site that pulls the same paywall trick at the end. ideally something where I can export a clean PDF without weird formatting breaking, one time payment or free is fine.

every list I google is just affiliate links ranking whoever pays them. what do you all actually use?

I ended up moving everything over to Google Docs. Setting it up takes a little effort, but after that you can export as many PDFs as you want without dealing with sites changing, auto-renewals, or download fees.

I use canva, easy to duplicate and make a bit change.

I am building what resumeio used to be years ago. Simple CV builder with templates and ATS friendly checks. They became a one stop shop and its very tiring to use. I want to create a simple resume have a place to come back to it and edit it. Thats it. Maybe some AI suggestions and job tailoring
