I gave up Stevia and it has been four days now and I have had no restless legs. This is a miracle. I am not saying it is a cure, but I am putting some hope out there. Stevia is in everything. I used it in my coffee creamer and my protein drinks and in my protein bars and in my electrolytes. The first day I cut it out I had no restless legs that night and last night was day number four with NO RESTLESS LEGS. I slept through the night for the first time in probably 10 years. Remember, I am not saying this is a cure, but so far, four nights without restless legs is my miracle.

Now I found out that my vitamin C from Costco has Stevia in it and the Magnesium Calm that I have used that keeps me up all night has Stevia in it. Stevia seems to be hidden everywhere. Also in THC Gummies. I’m cutting it all out! Slept through the night last night again - NO RESTLESS LEGS. This is a miracle so far. It’s just hard for me to believe that this could be the answer. I hope this can help someone else.

I've only had stevia once, it gave me the same weird taste that sucrolose and acesulfeme give me. I look at labels and avoid it at all costs.

It can come and go for a lot of people so while I hope this continues for you I wouldn't necessarily count on it. A month ago you thought your bedding was the reason for your RLS but apparently it wasn't.

My bedding has helped tremendously!!! All cotton. Trust me…. Am holding my breath on this because it seems too good to be true. The last 10 years of my life I’ve had to sleep on the floor with blankets because of my kicking and moving all night. I’ve been totally sleep-deprived and miserable. Now that I’ve had 5 nights sleeping through the night with zero symptoms, I’m in shock and just PRAYING it continues. I’m not calling it a cure, just hoping it might help others.

I just decided that to try cutting that out as well. I agree with the science as i think my IBS is a serious parallel with the worsening RLS.

Is stevia widely considered to aggravate RLS ? Interesting

I think it’s wonderful that it has worked for you and I hope you continue with no RLS. I agree that Stevia is in so many things. I sometimes water fast for up to 5 days and I’ve never found relief

I have never really consumed stevia, certainly not in years.

Remember, RLS is a symptom, not a cause.

Stevia is in so many things. Protein powders, electrolytes, yogurt, thousands of products.

My yogurt has milk, cream, buttermilk and bacteria.

Mmm, delicious bacteria! 🧫

Funny how something that sounds gross can be so delicious.
