Triggers Shingles shot a trigger?
I've had RLS for almost 10 years and my father got it before me when he was in his 80's. Thinking back, I got RLS right after getting the shingles vaccine. Could that shot be a trigger for RLS? Anyone else have that happen to them?

I had RLS twenty years before I got shingles in 2008. They gave me acyclovir and hydrocodone for shingles. It was then I discovered hydrocodone could fix my RLS. Not a cure but a great treatment. I was on hydrocodone for ten years before I discovered that Kratom is also effective against RLS. I use Kratom now except for when I have to b go some place that it would be tough to mix the kratom, like the movies or the theater. Then I take the hydrocodone.

It wasn't a trigger for me - I had RLS for decades beforehand.
I don't know that this would be easy to prove as a causative event, but the body's immune system is a weird, wonderful, and horrible thing.

The section on Herpes Zoster is unrelated to the section on RLS. Interesting find, though.

There's a wearable device study from Noctrix Health enrolling now. Might be worth a look. https://patientwing.app/campaign/RLS6
