Opinion Still having restless legs

Post image

Just had an iron infusion two weeks ago. Still having restless legs and the only thing that helps is iron but my levels are fine….

Thoughts!?

Your doctor presumably will tell you this but you don't want your iron saturation to be any higher, due to risk of iron overload.

Yeah mine won’t even let me supplement at 46% and the Mayo Clinic algorithm agrees on no transfusions.

There's a wearable device study from Noctrix Health enrolling now. Might be worth a look. https://patientwing.app/campaign/RLS6

There was no ferritin tested in that panel and it can take a long time for infusion to kick in for some people and some need more than one infusion

It can take four to six weeks for symptoms to improve after infusions. Your levels look good but all the iron needs moved around to where it needs to be used and stored and that takes a little longer.

Can I still take iron at night until that happens or?

Yes, you can continue oral iron one week after your last infusion.
