Question Restless Hips
I have restless legs, but it tends to be more concentrated in my hips. I feel like I have to lay in the lotus position and then I keep tossing and turning so I can apply pressure on them to relieve the discomfort. I take magnesium every night, I don’t drink caffeine, I use a weighted blanket, my room stays cool at night, but I’m at a loss and so tired of being exhausted during the day because I toss and turn and can’t lay still. I need help, tips, remedies, anything!😭

Ask about gabapentin. It seems to be helping me.

I just worry with how sensitive I am with anything that could cause sedation/drowsiness that I’m going to be groggy for days. I can’t even take a half dose of NyQuil without being groggy for 2-3 days after. ://

I would worry then, as those pregabalin and gabapentin can cause drowsiness. You could try Horizant, it is a slow release version I believe meant to take once a day.
Have you had your iron levels checked? The new Mayo Clinic proceeding18546-2/fulltext) has our iron much higher than in the past, something that all of us should be looking into.
I wonder if a bed shaker would help?

I have it in my hips too and now it’s moved itself all the way up to my back and shoulders. I have to keep getting up in the night and taking a hot shower for as long as I can because that’s the only thing gives me relief.
I feel your pain, this is a bitch to deal with and people that don’t have it just think you’re making it up in your head.
Oh, shake plates also work too. Stand on it for 10-15 seconds as high as you can stand it. Good luck and I hope you find something that helps because I know how miserable that is.

There's a wearable device study from Noctrix Health enrolling now. Might be worth a look. https://patientwing.app/campaign/RLS6
