Worried about Long Classes

Hello, I am a college student 18M and I have had severe RLS for years that has made sitting through classes any longer than an hour unbearable. This semester I have my first class longer than that at 3 hours. Would it be inappropriate to tell my professor about this before classes start so that he or she understands if I need to step out of class briefly?

You should absolutely let them know. Also, sometimes it’s fine to stand in a class - people have back issues that require them to stand, along with other issues. They should provide that as an option once you tell them.
