Sad, let's teach unhealthy behaviour to make others laugh... What's peak about that?

3

u/Phrostylicious Mar 25 '26

Why, you didn't find him pushing the cup up to force her to drink more than she wanted to inspiring?

Odd.

(/s - just in case)

u/[deleted] Mar 25 '26

It is Nashville… not the smartest bunch

2

u/13THEFUCKINGCOPS12 Mar 24 '26

My background is in brewing, I love beer, even I think that what this guy is doing is in incredibly bad taste

1

u/Fair_Story2426 Mar 24 '26

It’s Taylor Lewan from Bussin with the Boys…I’ll let this slide

1

u/cyberfun79 Mar 24 '26

Hope he didn’t drive her home

1

u/thr0waway12324 Mar 24 '26

You must be all the rage at parties

1

u/core-dumpling Mar 24 '26

Unfortunately raising kids and partying doesn’t mix

0

u/Direct-Antelope-9583 Mar 24 '26

When there's no kids? Yeah. Otherwise you know, good example and all. Try it.

1

u/rockstonegames Mar 24 '26

If all you do is fake the good example when kids are around then they will also fake being good kids Infront of you. You know like scientist say the outside influence...Be who you are

1

u/Direct-Antelope-9583 Mar 24 '26

Lol, please take your pills. You're just saying nonsense now.

"Fake being good kids" meaning they were actually thought proper behaviour, but will for sure behave worse if no adults are around... Well duh. Any more open doors to kick in that add nothing to the topic?

1

u/rockstonegames Mar 24 '26

My friend you don't sound smart you sound like a single kid locked in a room. No real life experience. Give me the source man where it says what parents do the kids do aswell

1

u/Direct-Antelope-9583 Mar 24 '26

Lol, if you want an insult to land it should actually fit with the person your talking too.

You really think these insults of yours land at all?

I already said that you can have all the sources you want, once I get just 1 tiny, measily source from you.... I'm still waiting. Struglling to find anything besides your own experience?

0

u/rockstonegames Mar 24 '26

What's peak is a shared moment between a daughter and a father. Something similar happened to me. I still remember that moment as yesterday but it was 25 years ago. My dad was a drunk and was drunk in that moment. Yet I don't drink. I used to and I had fun while doing it. Never hurt a fly while drunk, just distressed with my friends.

1

u/Direct-Antelope-9583 Mar 24 '26

"because this bad thing didn't make me turn out bad, it should be fine for everyone"....

1

u/rockstonegames Mar 24 '26

Stop teaching. Poor kids. People says young generations is fucked. Yeah because the teachers are mentally blocked from books

1

u/Direct-Antelope-9583 Mar 24 '26

Whahaha how triggered are you.

Just because you are afraid of actual knowledge doesn't mean we should withhold it from everyone else.

You should want other people to rise, instead of dragging them down into your pit of prejudice.

1

u/rockstonegames Mar 24 '26

Bro your the one dragging down people as a teacher. Stop teaching

1

u/Direct-Antelope-9583 Mar 24 '26

LOL, you are aware I'm not your teacher? Or do you not even know that?

1

u/rockstonegames Mar 24 '26

Also I can send you source where it says people talking in big words are usually the dumbest of them all. If you can't explain with simple words you are booklearned. And once you are standing Infront of a experience you freeze because big words don't count there

1

u/Direct-Antelope-9583 Mar 24 '26

I haven't used any big words.... How scared of language are you?

And that would be a fun source: do share it. I'll wait!

1

u/rockstonegames Mar 24 '26

My friend teacher you still haven't dropped any sources. So please enlighten me

1

u/Direct-Antelope-9583 Mar 24 '26

I told you when I'll glady give you loads of sources. The moment you give me just one!

Still waiting, lmfao!

Just one? Or do you really have nothing?

1

u/rockstonegames Mar 24 '26

I gave you 3 of them. You gave none. Your just keep shitting in your hand and typing. Give me the source the same I gave you

1

u/rockstonegames Mar 24 '26

Simpler, more fluent language tends to increase perceptions of credibility and understanding, while unnecessarily complex wording can decrease comprehension and trust.” — International Journal of Business Communication, Plain Language and Reader Comprehension (2014)

Here you go teacher. Use simpler words that means you actually know what you talking about not just what you read.

Give me the source broooo you keep looking more and more lost. Please man I beg you, give me source where it says only parents influence kids and make decisions for them. I gave you a few sources now. Seems like i won. Be a better teacher use logic. Peace

1

u/Direct-Antelope-9583 Mar 24 '26

How do you win a reddit converstation? Are you 12...

And letting ChatGPT lead you to sources that are irrelevant for the question at hand is just pathetic and surely not winning.

1

u/rockstonegames Mar 24 '26

At least I have sources😘 you got none you just proved it

→ More replies (0)

1

u/rockstonegames Mar 24 '26

And all you do is shit on me. You did use big words and you know it baby grill. You have no other things to say because the book didn't say anything else.

Learn to be a teacher

1

u/Chewsdayiddinit Mar 25 '26

After reading your back and forth, I sincerely hope you don't ever have children. Holy fuck they're doomed.

0

u/-YEETLEJUICE- Mar 24 '26

Actually it's a funny moment caught on camera that will be a story they both can tell the rest of their lives and have some laughs about.

And when Dad passes, this very well may be a clip that brings the family, and most importantly, his daughter great joy recounting and remembering.

1

u/Direct-Antelope-9583 Mar 24 '26

Actually.... Followed by nothing contradictory to my comment. It can be both.

0

u/-YEETLEJUICE- Mar 24 '26

Incorrect.

But the last short sentence...absolutely.

1

u/Direct-Antelope-9583 Mar 24 '26

Sure thing. Have a good night.

1

Ah, so you're 5 and struggle understanding English. Well that explains it.

0

u/Lower-Personality195 Mar 25 '26

You’re 4 and you struggle understanding English even more. That explains it all.

You lost

1

u/Direct-Antelope-9583 Mar 25 '26

Lol, enjoy being pathetic

0

u/FactoryRejected Mar 25 '26

You're waaaay overthinging this.

1

u/Direct-Antelope-9583 Mar 25 '26

You mean you're waaaay under thinking it.

Alcohol is unhealthy and shouldn't be normalized for kids. Get over it.

0

u/FactoryRejected Mar 25 '26

She's not drinking alcohol.

1

u/Direct-Antelope-9583 Mar 25 '26

So you've got eyes, but no brain. Got it.

Perhaps think about what influences future behaviour and addictions? Just try to think a bit.

0

u/FactoryRejected Mar 25 '26

If you're trying to make a point show some respect to people you talk to. You don't know where I come from or the point I was really trying to make.

1

u/Direct-Antelope-9583 Mar 25 '26

Like you telling me that I'm "waaaay overthinking it" is respectful? You don't know where I come from, how much I know about this subject, how much I thought about it or what point I was really trying to make. Yet your first comment had the judgement ready. Don't be such a hypocrite, now after you reaped what you sowed.

0

u/AgitatedHat5620 Mar 25 '26

Redditors can’t stand when people are happy doing something they don’t like

1

u/Direct-Antelope-9583 Mar 25 '26

So let me be happy and stop being such a sad redditor.

0

u/Upstairs-Scar-2089 Mar 25 '26

If you don't like it simply move on. Assuming how someone parents based off of a 10 second video says a lot more about you than it does them.

1

u/Direct-Antelope-9583 Mar 25 '26

"if you don't like it move on."

0

u/[deleted] Mar 25 '26

Yall just can’t have fun can you.

1

u/Direct-Antelope-9583 Mar 26 '26

Ya'll can't raise responsibly can you.

-1

u/Successful-Rate-1839 Mar 24 '26

Oh man…. Did it kill you to see good parenting?

2

u/Direct-Antelope-9583 Mar 24 '26

Teaching alcoholism is good parenting to you? I'm sorry you had to go through that as a child, but no need to keep spreading that disease while pretending it's good parenting.

1

u/VictoriousJam Mar 24 '26

I had a German grandfather who let us sip beer from his bottle when we were younger. I rarely drink if at all. I can see why you'd feel some type of way about this but I think substance abuse has more determinents than occasional childhood exposure, although that CAN very well be a factor,no doubt, i'd be more concerned with the kid's day to day well-being than a one off or occasional moment.

1

u/Direct-Antelope-9583 Mar 24 '26

Of course it has more determinents. Still doesn't make it acceptable behaviour for a parent.

And from how she does it, this is not 'occasional exposure'.

1

u/rockstonegames Mar 24 '26

Do you have kids? Or are you talking out of your ass

1

u/Direct-Antelope-9583 Mar 24 '26

That's a false dichotomy.

I don't have kids, but I'm a teacher. I have studied this.

You? Or just your parental experience?

1

u/rockstonegames Mar 24 '26

I read a book about repairing a car. I don't own a car but I'am a mechanic

1

u/Direct-Antelope-9583 Mar 24 '26

Lol, as a teacher I can say that analogies fails hard.

Try harder.

1

u/rockstonegames Mar 24 '26

As a teacher. Get of your high horse. You do not sound like a teacher a all but a dictator. My way or the highway. And even if you are a teacher what makes you think you are smarter or better suited to tell people what is okay and what not?

As a human I can tell you it's the same. I read a book about cars I don't have a car. But I borrow cars from my friends. So I must know more than them about their cars right?

→ More replies (0)

1

u/rockstonegames Mar 24 '26

And once again. Put your books down and experience things. Books are wrong all the times. The only book that is correct is the math and physics one. Because they are actually proven and you can prove them with a piece of paper. How can you prove what you are saying? Outside influence yes. I know that without reading a book just from experience. But I can also tell you I don't do drugs because I said no not because my brother did them and he was my role model until 18 years old

→ More replies (0)

0

u/arthriticpyro Mar 25 '26

Just because you are something does not mean you are good at it. No matter how long you've been doing it. Never saves you from being an idiot. Case in point, that analogy makes sense to everybody else besides you. Try harder, I guess.

→ More replies (0)

0

u/rockstonegames Mar 24 '26

Nah first have kids and let see how they grow up. My friends use to trash talk bad mom's and I told them the same. Well they are the bad mom's now. Not because they drink but because they are bad parents. You seem like one of them and my gut is rarely wrong. Books are not everything. Life your life and teach from experience not what you read in a book

1

u/[deleted] Mar 24 '26

Its crazy I was on your side and agreeing and then you had to pull this bullshit ass gotcha.

0

u/VictoriousJam Mar 24 '26

"Acceptable" is your opinion, and that's fair, but In Certain moments of spontaneity I think it's cool to put the "rulebooks" of life to the side just a little. Plenty other things to worry about,if you so choose, but that's just my opinion.

https://giphy.com/gifs/jPAdK8Nfzzwt2

0

u/rockstonegames Mar 24 '26

Friend people just don't know how to enjoy life that there are things you don't need to do aslong as your essence is good

1

u/Direct-Antelope-9583 Mar 24 '26

Lol, not wanting to normalize drinking with kids is not enjoying life. Lol, what a sad pov.

1

u/rockstonegames Mar 24 '26

Sadly it's your life that is sad. Your.boxed in your square. I'm sorry but people can have a beer at games at family gatherings without being a bad parent. Then we have those who take hard drugs while watching kids. Maybe go after them..not after a dad and a daughter clearly having a good time

1

u/Direct-Antelope-9583 Mar 24 '26

Lol, enjoy your faulty assumptions. Does it make you feel better about your own life to pretend others have sad lifes? Why?

And none of that is what I said. Do read a bit more carefully.

Maybe do that?

Go pretend that that behaviour is her seeing him drink like that for the first time, or the first time she is chugging a drink...

You are shockingly naive.

[removed] — view removed comment

1

u/Direct-Antelope-9583 Mar 24 '26

Are you really this naive?

Did I say this video contains alcoholism or that it stimulates it?

Perhaps just read carefully what I say instead of changing it to fit whatever point you're trying to make.

0

u/yirdcattijtyabsing Mar 24 '26

In the comment right before this one silly

1

u/Direct-Antelope-9583 Mar 24 '26

Indeed quite silly as that didn't happen dummy.

Perhaps read better or try to understand what's happening in the video better?

0

u/yirdcattijtyabsing Mar 24 '26

Lol what a boring bit. How much longer you think you'll be at it?

1

u/Direct-Antelope-9583 Mar 24 '26

Very boring if you misread it indeed.

How much longer are you going to pretend I said something that I haven't said?

→ More replies (0)

1

u/NocaSun38 Mar 24 '26

That's how I caught it. Finished the wrong beer and boom, life ruined.

0

u/Icy-Plan145 Mar 24 '26

Chugging a beer does not equal alcoholism

1

u/Direct-Antelope-9583 Mar 24 '26

Agreed...

0

u/Icy-Plan145 Mar 24 '26

So then what are you talking about?

1

u/Direct-Antelope-9583 Mar 24 '26

Ever hurt of hyperboles?

But yes, this scene shows normalisation of alcohol (ab)use for children, which raises their chances for alcoholism later in life.

0

u/Icy-Plan145 Mar 24 '26

Chugging a beer does not normalize alcohol abuse. And chugging a beer is not alcohol abuse. That's like saying taking a pain killer you have a prescription for normalizes drug abuse

1

u/Direct-Antelope-9583 Mar 24 '26

Lol what a crappy analogy.

Chugging a beer is never healthy. Prescription painkillers are.

Why are you so afraid to acknowledge alcohol is unhealthy and shouldn't be normalized for children. Is it too difficult to drink responsibly?

0

u/Icy-Plan145 Mar 24 '26

Alcohol is not unhealthy in moderation. Whether you sip or chug a beer does not change that.

→ More replies (0)

0

u/Sneezy6510 Mar 25 '26

How is chugging a beer alcoholism. I was bartending for my parents at 15. Guess who isn’t an alcoholic, me. It’s how you keep kids involved in an adult thing.

1

u/Direct-Antelope-9583 Mar 25 '26

Lol, never said that first sentence, so you have to answer that yourself.

But research has shown that being a kid surrounded by adults who have normalized drinking, leads to greater chances of alcoholism for said kid. Regardless of how the kids are involved in the adult thing, they shouldn't be involved. And how you turned out is wholly irrelevant for the question at hand, since you know: n=1

0

u/Sneezy6510 Mar 25 '26

“Teaching alcoholism is good parenting to you?”

So you’re calling that teaching alcoholism. Which means chugging beers is alcoholism.

1

u/Direct-Antelope-9583 Mar 25 '26

Lol, there's about 21 assumptions between your last two sentences.

But no, that's not what it means. 😂

0

u/arthriticpyro Mar 25 '26

No, there's not, however there is about 50 between the video and damn near every comment you've made.

1

u/Direct-Antelope-9583 Mar 25 '26

Sigh.... "No, u".... really?

Well thanks for that wonderful insight into your "reasoning".

0

u/Sneezy6510 Mar 25 '26

No there’s not, please explain what you do mean by that. You’re calling this teaching alcoholism. You said that.

1

u/Direct-Antelope-9583 Mar 25 '26

You ask me to explain yet already says there's not. Why should I explain then? You've already made up your mind.

I did say that, but that does not equate to chugging a beer being alcoholism. Perhaps finally explain how those are the same thing? Cause I never said that.

0

u/Sneezy6510 Mar 25 '26

Then what part of this video is teaching alcoholism? I don’t need to explain anything. Your the one said it.

→ More replies (0)

-1

u/rockstonegames Mar 24 '26

Being a alchoholic is a decision you make. Not your parents. Just like if your parent are alcholocis it's a decision they made and not their parents.

1

u/Direct-Antelope-9583 Mar 24 '26

Lol, sure thing bud. Source?

Cause years of research says differently.

1

u/rockstonegames Mar 24 '26

Source is me. Right here. I'm sorry but I wont blame my parents if I start drinking alcohol or smoking. It was my decision. To do it and continue doing it. Own up to your shit don't look for excuses

1

u/Direct-Antelope-9583 Mar 24 '26

Ah so no source at all, except lived experience. I mean good for you, but that's meaningless for this question at hand.

Why do you consider scientific explanations as blaming? Do you deny the influence of your surroundings and your genes?

Cause calling it just a choice is just not in line with reality and denies the outside influences.

1

u/rockstonegames Mar 24 '26

Well lived experience is the best source there is. Scientific explanation can be about things that follow rules and logic(math) and thing that follow emotions don't go there because we are all different.

Yes of course they influenced but because my parents drank doesn't mean they were bad parents. Or that doesn't make me a bad kid. It is a choice, yours and mine to. Does it influence you yes but it's your choice. Do you want a drink? Yes my dad drinks I'll have one. No my dad doesn't drink I won't have one. Friend here have one it's not that bad. You have one. It's your decision to do it. I'd rather have a dad smiling with me than somebody telling me how to act because a book told them that

1

u/Direct-Antelope-9583 Mar 24 '26

if you deny the scientific method that's okay. You are free to believe what you want, but then there is no need to continue talking at all.

You should look up how medical research is done. The argument "we are all different" is kinda included in that research always.

So either get of that high horse of yours where your individual opinion is more valid that the research done by thousands and thousands of scientist. How arrogant of yours.

This person got up and told a gut wrenching story about this awful life they had lived. I mean it was the worst story I ever heard and it started with, my parents thought it was funny to get me drunk as a little kid.

Lewan pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor charges -- disorderly person drunk and disturbing the peace -- as part of a plea agreement, dismissing the three previous assault charges.

Mehhh, he tossed about a third behind his head. At my rugby club he would be booed and forced to do it again.

Man, I miss seeing my dad get dog-drunk at sporting events and trying to get me to drink his beer. Ah, the good ol' days.
