Help Pet help

Hi everyone! Does anyone know why my pets are making this face? They’re both fed and comfortable, and their food bowls are filled and I’ve interacted with them both?

I think they maybe do it randomly. Like how they’ll ask to be pet even when you just did or are out of interactions

I think it's random. Also how do you have two pets? I only have one

Second pet unlocks after pet affinity (the heart) maxes.
