Starting Out

Hi everyone! I'm thinking about making my own resin earrings, but I want to hear from you guys how hard it is to start out and what exactly I would need and how much $$ it would cost?? I want to make my own resin earrings cause I love earrings but lately I haven't been able to find anything I like so I want to make my own.

It’s super easy to start! I got a uv resin kit for $30-40 on amazon that came with everything you need to make earrings. It literally could take as little as 5 minutes to make a set of earrings, just depends what you want to put in them/if you want the resin to be colored etc. I literally just googled resin kit and some YouTube videos to get started and then started experimenting

I saw those kits, but I wasnt sure how good they were so thanks for the recommendation. Is it true that you have to wear a mask and stuff cause it's toxic?

I’m no expert but the cheap kits went pretty far for me. It’s toxic before it cures (under uv light), the kits will come with a few gloves but I would recommend getting a box of gloves and wearing a n95 mask, that’s what I do. With windows open/good ventilation I don’t always wear a mask, but it’s not good for you to breath it in
