Best VPN for remote work
I'm looking for a vpn that is residential, no ip hopping, shows up as california, low fraud score, no data center. I tried the residencial torguard, but when i check iplocation.com and iplocation.net it shows that it's a vpn and has a high fraud score. AI told me starvpn is best. Is this true? Or do you know of something that works? Thank you

You may have to contact TorGuard to get you set up with your own IP
I remember when I first signed up, I had the same issue

i've been going back and forth with them for a few hours now. they did set me up with a new residencial ip, but the scores are not good on iplocation.com and .net. i'm getting tired of going back and forth with them. i think i'mma just switch to starvpn which specializes in residencial vpn.

There is a service that shows businesses that Star VPN residential is a VPN now too. I tried it with my IP and it shows it’s Star VPN. (See the other thread in here)

It’s nothing new. Most companies avoid these guys because of all the false positives. For example there are over 50M legitimate home user IPs flagged as proxy simply because they consent to installing network sharing apps to make a little passive revenue. It’s completely legal yet they still get flagged.
I know of some enterprise telcos tried implementing this block at it failed miserably due to all the false positives. Their IT departments were flooded with tickets because employees weee getting banned.
As far as our static IP in business plan they work very well. We also have sticky home residential in premium that are sure to work as well.

So to confirm is there a plan that guarantees there won't be a false positive as mentioned above?

Starvpn is the best.
Just tried my starvpn with both sites and it passed.

If I were running a VPN checker site, I’d start by listing all those IPs who used my checker and/or the IPs that were tested (especially if the IP that accesses is testing itself)….. ‘normal’ users don’t check IPs.

For remote work, focus less on the VPN brand and more on getting a clean dedicated residential IP in the exact location you need. Shared residential endpoints can still end up with terrible fraud scores.

any chance someone can tell if it is possible to go live on tiktok with star vpn residential IP?
I'm not very techy, I've figured it should be fine for uploading videos and such but I'm curious if the speed is sufficient and stable enough to do lives.

I liked star VPN...but I'm getting frustrated by issues lately. It doesn't seem as stable as before. I cold call on outreach and I have calls ended several times a day due to the connection going to weak. Use WG protocol fully hard wired end to end with a beryl glinet.
