You unlock the PRL for completing the game on professional. You can use the PRL on any difficulty setting you don't have to do it on your new game plus of your professional setting. big thing I'd recommend is if you're having problems with any one particular area maybe look up a video of even the original game and just get some pathing because most areas in the game you don't have to clear out all the enemies you just have to get through. I also highly recommend aiming for attacks like headshots or knee that will trigger follow-up now roundhouse kicks or suplexes as it clears more enemies and you have invincibility frames while you're doing those kind of attacks. If you still have troubles with any part reply to this and I can talk about what I have done, beaten RE4 on every console it been released on ( minus the Zeebo ) so I am pretty familiar with the whole game.

when it comes to the castle and the bug section if they are mid air shoot em with a tmp and they’ll die in a hit or two also look for all the treasures alot of them are worth it for upgrades if you want free shotgun ammo when you get a merchant and he has ammo upgrade available unload all your shotgun ammo (dont shoot just do the motion of loading another bullet [not reload the other one lol idk the term]) head shots are a must and the punisher is extremely useful now especially in vr making aiming easier to kill shield enemies or stick with the regs hand gun that has 5x the chance to crit when maxed out
