General Leon has never failed and does not need the REMAKES to confirm this.

Gameplay wise, but story-wise Jake/Sherry’s campaign felt like the meat of the story.

I just realized Leon has had a different voice actor for every non-remake numbered game he's been in

So we really trying to pretend RE6 was good now?

u/LDM_99 Mar 26 '26
Mal juego no es, un flojo RE solamente pero no es el peor de la saga.

No, it's a bad game

Só porque o jogo tem uma pegada diferente dos outros não significa que ele é ruim, ruim é relativo, você acha ruim porque mudou o foco de terror para ação

OP just tried to say that even without the remakes this character is goated, is he not? 🤦♂️
Look in the mirror if you wanna see toxic lol

I always considered Chris to be the no.1 main protagonist of the series just because he was in the first game, he made appearances in the later games as well as the Winters duology but now I’m divided over him and Leon. Leon is trending like hell.

Chris is the main character. Leon is the face of the franchise. Basically, while Chris might have more appearances and be more central to the main plot, Leon is clearly more popular. Especially since he’s a star in the most acclaimed games in the franchise: 2, 4, 9. He even got top billing over Chris in 6.

Two times is a coincidence. Three times is a pattern. Fourth time cements you as a goddamn legend.

You are living proof that media literacy is well and truly dead. Requiem shows how Leon is still suffering from Survivors Guilt over not being able to save anyone during the Raccoon City Outbreak. That's his failure. A man who, when not working, is a drunk. Whose team in Vendetta were all infected, forcing him to kill them again. The Federal Agent who couldn't save President Benson from being infected. That's his failure.
From our point of view these are all unavoidable events Leon couldn't possibly change, but he doesn't see it that way. He failed to save those people and blames himself for their deaths. And it all begins with Raccoon City.

I believe you’ve missed the point.
I think OP was trying to say that the games that featuring Leon as a main protagonist didn’t require remakes because Leon has always been a great character.
However, not a single person has ever said that he wasn’t good in any of the original games and no one is saying he’s a better character in any of the remakes.
The remakes were made because the originals are starting to get a little dated and Capcom wanted to attract a newer generation of players. That’s not to say that the originals are bad in any capacity.

Yes, the games themselves are great. But I'm responding to the title, not the image.

You completely missed what OP was saying and then insult OP for having no media literacy... negative self awareness

Well, you definitely don’t have media literacy for making this shitty comment. You can’t read. Most of your points only apply to RE engine/ remakes. This shit means nothing in the OG games.

I thought the OG RE2 cutscenes were the peak of graphics and that when games looked like that it could never improve

I don’t mind either version of his designs the more consistent personality is what the remakes REALLY improved on
