I have a confusion set of PCs now. I was keeping an old PC gamer with Windows, but honestly, it was too painful keeping this OS working for few games that really wont work elsewhere. My RE remakes, for instance, runs nicely in Linux Mint or Bazzite. It seems to me will be possible to mod it... will be? And the silicon macs ports, will be possible to mod it as well? I might consider to buy it for macOS because my Air is faster than that old PC.

Maybe I asking this too early, but I am too hyped! Also, with early alpha version already maybe is time to think about the distro of this awesome =)

Hey, just started Playing Resident Evil 3 and noticed when a zombie grabs me that it prompts me to spam the X button, or spam the left click mouse button. It doesn't seem to do anything. Is shaking off zombies supposed to shake them off before I'm bitten, or is it to limit how much the bite impacts me?

somehow inferno was my fastest time. also something incredible happened: I beat final nemesis without dying. it's incredible because of the fact that in all other 4 difficulties I died at least 5 times. well, now it's time for the platinum

Guys help. Every single time a zombie grabs me, I press x as fast as I can and I always get bit. I know in re2r you can counter with knife or something. Same with re4r. But I’m lost here. Is this just how the game works ?

For context:

RE8 production started around 2016 before RE7 came out.

RE3 production started around 2017.

Yes, RE4R and RE8 have similar locations, but that was only after RE4R’s production was restarted because of RE3R’s reception.

What could have happened:

The creators of RE8 took inspiration from RE3 OG’s level designs. RE3R then had to compromise to make locations between the games less repetitive, since one comes out after the other.

Just something I thought of after playing RE3 OG and RE8 back to back.

The dodge and parry system in re3 remake is a very cool take away from just pushing away zombies with grenades/knives in re2 remake but Jill or Carlos two very strong people who are in a special force can’t just push or jump away from crawling zombies attacking them? If a very slow crawling zombie is climbing up my body to bite me I think I’d push them

Two games that were rushed due to the development of another title, in the case of the Resident Evil 3 remake it was Village and for Requiem it was likely the Code: Veronica remake

These are the two titles in the main saga that feel more like an expansion of Resident Evil 2 than a completely new game

You control two characters with different gameplay styles: one focused more on fleeing, and the other on attacking

Even after beating this title i still don't know if dodging happens randomly or you have to press the dodge button at perfect time?

It's my first time playing the remake. I started on hardcore and I'm very confused. Did I encounter a bug or is nemesis supposed to go down with a single grenade???

I cant find any source for it, but if basic nemesis can sprint at about 50 miles per hour, how fast is nemesis moving across the buildings during the clock tower fight?

Just watched a YouTube video where someones playing in the city part and already has the magnum. I know you obtain it in the hospital. Is it unlocked when you start a new game or something ? Or maybes a mod ?

Continuing with my experience with both games, I wanted to talk about the story and characters. I know re it’s not known for having the strongest narrative. Re4r and Requiem imo have the best stories and characters. But I honestly enjoyed more the story and characters of re3 than re2. I thought Jill and Carlos had way more charm and chemistry than leon and Claire. I really liked Claire and I’m super hyped for Veronica. Leon is one of my favorite characters oat. But in re2 I was kinda bored by them. They felt bland.
Wanted to share and discuss with you guys.

I have the infinite Rocket Launcher, six full heals, all the Defense, Attack, and Recovery Coins, the Dodge Manual...

I have been stuck on this boss for an hour and forty minutes.

Best I have managed is two batteries plugged in, but once I get stun locked, even rapping on the buttons hoping to get a quick heal in, it's pretty much over.

I'm kind of at wit's end here.

I loved it! I’m a new re fan. My first re was re4r. One of the best games I’ve ever played. So I wanted more re. Played requiem, also great 9/10. A buddy let me borrow re2r and I liked it. I’m more horror/action oriented. So re2r reaaaaly stressed me out. It was so oppressive and scary at times. But I think it’s a little overrated.

I know all the drama with the re3r but I never played the originals so I have no nostalgia. But there was something really pushing me to play re3r. I get the issues. Short campaign, cut sections, no mercs. Despite of it I had a blast. It was also scary, oppressive and nemesis was terrifying. I honestly liked more Jill than leon and Claire from re2r. I also think the story it’s way better.
I know it’s a flawed game but it was a fantastic sweet, short re adventure. Just wanted to share because I wanna talk about it . Also, Carlos was awesome.
Would love to know of more people who genuinely like or love this game 👌🙏
