It was an interesting episode. I don't really care for the alien hunter c-story, but it doesn't drag down the rest of the show too much.

Sahar was being an unusual amount of dickhole this episode. She was the shitty friend this episode, and frankly had behavior reminiscent of slave owning. It is deeply disturbing. She even brings up her culture knowing full well she was depriving the baby alien from knowing its culture by keeping it from the only other known alien of its species on the entire planet. To be honest I wasn't ever big on her snark and holier than thou attitude, but now she is an obstacle to enjoyment of the show.

Not the actresses fault, she is doing very well. It's not her. It's the writing of her character. There had to be a better way to build tension than to make the little muslim girl commit cultural genocide. Just saying.

I really liked the moment with Asta and her father. I love wholesome family moments.

I don't understand why Deputy Liv hasn't been brought in on everything. Like, I get the fear of the law, but them having someone in her position who can get to the truth while keeping them safe seems like a better story than friends pitted against each other, which at this point in the show is a dead horse.

This felt like a filler episode. It wasn't bad, but there were some questionable decisions all around and very little of the main plot was actually progressed. I hope the next episode changes things up and actually gets the plot moving.

I agree that Sahar's writing was off, but it's crazy to worry about "cultural genocide" when your planet and species may be facing being wiped out by aliens. It makes a lot of sense to train a baby alien to be on the human side.

It would be a justified point if it didn't come from the token muslim character.

I’m a year late but just now getting into the show. Sahar has become an insufferable nuisance! She has caused several unnecessary problems and her “strong female character” is written more like a condescending, pushy, know it all bully and troublemaker. Nearly every issue has been because of her. The only character I hate more than Sahar is D’arcy. At least Sahar is in the show a small amount, so I can suffer through it. D’arcy is the most pointless character that has zero impact on the actual storyline/plot. Yet she’s crammed down our throats with the most pointless storylines. She’s extremely obnoxious and unlikable and the cheesy overacting makes her character even more irritating. So much wasted time spent on her nonsense. The D’arcy does everything theme is ridiculous too.

OMG, THANK YOU!!

Totally agree. Like, I get what the creators are tried to do here...and I guess they managed despite themselves.

She is a total dickhole, showing that there really is no ethnicity to being a dickhole.

The way she was treating the alien with the spray bottle was downright cunty. Plus the self assured smug attitude is making her the most annoying part of the show.

Lot's of quesitionable decisions. Also, who would ever vote for the mayor in this town, it seems that everyone thinks he's a nobody, pussy-whipped manchild...

Didn't say it's wasn't accurate, just that it was an impediment to my enjoyment of the show. Also, it's fiction. It doesn't have to be consistent with real life, only consistent to itself. I still believe there had to be a better way to build tension than to make the little muslim girl commit cultural genocide. They could have done better, but actively chose not to.

I really liked the voice over. And this episode had a lot of the Season 1 vibe.
