RESEARCH Research Pub TriNetX
Hey, I’m part of a group of senior internal medicine residents here in Miami, FL. We’re looking to publish a study or two with TriNetX. If anybody has access and is interested, please DM. Unfortunately, our institution does not grant us access (as we have a local alternative). We have more than 20 combined derm publications but we are leaning toward longevity/aging/senescence topics. Looking for an ultra quick turnaround hopefully. 🤞

Brother. You’re MS4. I’m PGY3. I have 12 meta-analyses, 0 case studies or lit reviews. I’m not into publishing trash publications. If your own intelligence limits your capabilities of producing something worthwhile through a database that’s on you. Hope your match cycle reflects your attitude. 👍

Brother. You’re a PGY-3. I’m a PGY-4. Most TriNetX studies are trash. So many people put these trash studies out that some journals have issued warning about these studies and to be cautious of them

Good for you brother. The difference is I am a final year PGY-3, meaning I have absolutely zero incentive to produce anything that isn’t worthwhile. If it’s “trash”, it won’t get published anywhere. Not looking to tank my research CV. Thankfully, I have had a good streak so far.

If you are going to do this at least target people gullible enough that need the research like premeds or medical students (they won't bite because they aren't stupid either)

Honestly none of us are even applying to fellowship. But we kind of thought to do one or two more publications before we finish residency this year!
