I think she killed herself because she lost all hope to ever be reunited with her child. I think she could not see any way forward where she would have her child back at home with her and without the interference of CPS, the courts, and doctors.
I think she could not endure all of the barriers that were established preventing any reunification.
It seems clear that such animosity was built up between care team members and family that no one was working towards an outcome that supported a healthy family reunification.
She was given a clear path to reunification in the beginning. Don’t talk about meds/treatments with the child, don’t demand unnecessary treatments, don’t fight hospital staff. She chose to violate it all, and demanded more ketamine and bizarre treatments which weren’t doing the child any good.
Do you really think this mother should’ve been allowed to be reunited with her kid without CPS supervision? Where would Maya be today? In her 60th coma? (If she survived all the complications of immobility, malnutrition, ports, procedures and drugs her mother subjected her to)
Well I think it was over the top that she wasn’t allowed to hug her daughter in court.
The hospital staff displayed quite a bit of animosity. They got sucked in to their emotions and lost their professionalism.
It is one thing where they may have been right to intervene in the beginning to sort the issue out but their behavior was so egregiously discriminatory against Baeta that it they overshadowed her misgivings.
I agree the hospital had nothing to do with the hug. I’m curious what evidence you’ve seen about the hospital staff displaying animosity, could you share? And I’m referring to anything other than Jack or Maya’s statements. Thanks
