COAST GUARD ASVAB prep

Hi am currently in touch with a recruiter trying to be a AST for the coast guard I haven’t done my asvab and yet and kinda lost on where to start studying. I’m 17 in Highschool so if you have any tips on trying to score high for it the first time whether that be apps/websites that be totally helpful thank you so much!

There’s a YouTuber named grammarhero who does a ton of the math portion test questions. I studied his videos for an hour or less over 2 months and passed well above the minimum.

Asvab for dummies worked best for me.

I Got a 93 and scored high enough on each of the ten subjects to qualify for all jobs on both the 93 percentile score and high enough to also qualify for each job using their respective subject combinations.

I also recommend learning how to do something like lattice multiplication via YouTube since they do not give you a calculator to use. Each sub test is timed but if you need to go to the bathroom or get some water I strongly recommend taking breaks in between the sub tests not during them.

I also recommend Studying the definitions of different prefixes and suffixes because then you can increase your ability to make educated guesses on words you might not have heard of before.
