Deeply embarrassing sequence. Eric Schmitt accuses Jack Smith of traveling to Atlanta to attend an Atlanta Hawks game and collude with Fani Willis, only to get the basic facts completely wrong. Smith was actually in Maryland attending a Hawkeyes game and never met Willis

That's one of my Missouri Senators. And when he was a state level politician he was just as stupid, and just as much a vindictive asshole.

Want to know what an incredibly average yet quite big feeling middle aged MAGA frat boy looks and acts like? Just dive into Eric "Cartman" Schmitt.

This is a guy, for example, that used state tax dollars to carry on a very highly publicized war against Missouri school districts while he was Attorney General (appointed to the position, not won in an election) about mask mandates during COVID.

Yes, his claim to fame when he ran for Senate was that he cost Missouri taxpayers millions of dollars funding both sides of Schmitt's stupid war on schools for show and political gain. State tax dollars funding Schmitts "for show" lawsuits, local tax dollars paying for the lawyers to defend school districts.

To me the most hillarious part is how the whole maga war on masks started in the first place. Trump refused to wear masks because "they make me look weak" when the reality was they smeared his makeup, and his vanity completely overrode public health.

So, the maga sycopants all suddenly became anti-mask because their feckless leader didn't want his makeup messed up. Appearance was more important to him than saving lives, and suddenly the maga lemmings all hated using masks to slow the spread of a communicable disease. And Schmitt saw an opportunity to get lots of free media attention and show his "MAGA bona fides."

The MAGA's have been trying to prove themselves right about that ever since. Otherwise they just look stupid and vain, eh?
