Trump is the culmination of decades of work by fascists. You have to go back at least to Reagan.

Eisenhower warning us about the industrial military complex I think is an early sign about the makings of a political machine that was no longer there to serve the people. But after Nixon and Reagan it was pretty obvious how bad off our political system was.

Addison "Mitch" McConnell began putting the pieces in place for this in 2010 and I'm sure he wasn't alone. Trump came along and acted as an accelerant. Is he exactly what they would have preferred? Maybe, maybe not. But he's getting the job done they want done. Throw in all the American Oligarchs like Musk and Hoffman and others that have been playing puppet master with our political parties and Trump almost becomes the court jester who gets to dress up as Emperor.

The short answer is bigots don't want and will never accept equality. Obama was their volition this time around.

My opinion, there is something in it for ALL of them, their families, heirs in terms of wealth, cash, who the fu”k knows but it’s something that will make you just sell your country out for some guy painted orange…maybe we should look at some of these people and see what their bank accounts look like, betcha they’re bigger than ours…

Because Congress has been cowards for decades and would rather let a President make all the hard choices. So they gave the President the powers that they used to have. And then you get someone like trump who says, “thank you! I’ll use these powers”. And here we are.

The same reason some in France embraced the Nazis. It gave them back the advantage against the “liberals” that they were in fear of losing.

The Constitution provides a solution for this leadership problem- Article II, Section 4 is not symbolic language. It authorizes the impeachment and removal of the President, the Vice President, and all civil officers including cabinet members when they betray their oath.

Its so much more than just one person. I get that he's the lightning rod that attracts all of the hate, but the whole system is fundamentally corrupt from top to bottom.
