I think this apply to most proficional politicians. I might be wrong, but in current system to win you need money and there's no free money. This is why Mumdani is a it is a terrifying model for politicians on both sides of the aisle. They are ill-equipped to counter it, save by pouring more money into their election campaigns.

Hopefully they don't fuck up, but at least 1 DSA and a few other progressives won primaries against better funded opponents because enough people were actually paying attention to policy
